Annapurna Ghat - Ferry Service Provider in Silchar - Cachar, India

The ghat is not that huge but the view is pretty amazing.

The mighty river Barak. It is one of major rivers of South Assam. The 564 kilometres long river is part of Surma-Meghna River System. It rises in hill country of Manipur where it is biggest and most important of hill country rivers. After Manipur it flows through Mizoram and Assam. It later enters Bangladesh where it forks into Surma and Kushiyara rivers. The sixth national waterway stretch is on this river.

This ghat of the Barak River offers a panoramic view of the two banks and an under construction bridge over the river. You can see ferries and boats plying from one bank to the other. The ghat isn't well developed or clean. You can anyways enjoy cool breeze and peaceful evenings here.

I often visit there to just sit down and watch the sunset. It's really refreshing and soothing to your soul.

The Ghat is very awsome place ..if you pass near by visit once to the Ghat .There is a temple "Devi Annapurna" There is a system of crossing the Barak River by Machine Boat and normal boat .....In the Ghat a new floating cruise resturant started ,which is great come and visit there it will give you mind peace to see sunset from this ghat .
