Annapoorneswary temple is situated in cherukunnu. Cherukunnu festival is one of the best. Good ambience and nice atmosphere. Very large crowd in festival season.
A well maintained, big Temple pond next to the temple.
It is the second largest pond after Chirakkal, in Kannur district.
One portion nearest to the temple is restricted only for the priests and use of temple. All other sides are open to general public
Good positive vibes and my favorite place
Nice atmosphere. Lot of water in the mansoon
A Hindu religious temple in Cherukunnu, Kannur District. A temple pond - locally called as AMBALACHIRA is close to the temple, immediately after the temple compound. It serves as a major water storage facility in the locality. Bath and swim are a regular scene here - opt the safest point before you step in. Ensure your safety.
Cherukunnu Annapoorneshwari Temple, also known as Cherukunnilamma Temple, is the only Durga temple in Kerala where Parvathi Devi Mahamaya is in 'Annapoorna Bhavam' (Mother of all meals). 'Annam' in Malayalam language means 'food' and 'Poornam' (purnam) means full. The meaning of the Bhavam Annapurna is one who gives food to every needy without restriction. The idol is with a ladle in one hand. Annapurna is the goddess with a golden ladle. Sree Annapoorneshwari Temple is situated in Cherukunnu, 15 km from Taliparamaba, in Kannur district of Kerala, India.
Easily reachable from Kannur by road - approx 20 kms.

Annapoorneshwary temple is situated 3-4. From National Highway near Kannur, Kerala. It is clean well maintained temple. The staff are courtaceous nice. The pooja's done very systematic way. The Paintings of Vishnu and others are really good, but not properly maintained. The ' Prasadam ' served for hundreds of people in the temple is hygienic and tasty.
