Anjunem Dam - Tourist attraction in Gonteli - North Goa, India

You find this dam on the Chorla ghats from Goa to Karnataka. Man, this is such an awesome place to visit during monsoons. The gates were fully opened and I was watching the water rushing down the slope at such a close proximity. I never did that before in my entire life. There are chairs built to watch the water gushing down and hitting the floor. The place is such scenic one surrounded by lush green western ghats at three sides and back water at the other. You can climb down 150 steps to go to the foot of the dam. There is no permission to go inside the dam. There is also a road that goes to the foot of the dam but it is very narrow.

It's very beautiful. On my our visit to chorla ghat, unfortunately it was closed. Looked quite stunning from the outside.

Not much too see here, got a chance to go inside after some moment guard told closed go out, said will be open on Dec 2022

It is fascinating to see the beautiful dam in the middle of the green hills.

A good place to visit while on the way to Goa, but most of the times Authorities restrict for entry
