It is a light post at the center of road. Though it is historic it is not given that much importance inthe city.
Memorial for Ratnavelu Chettiar who was a martyr of racism of british officers during the colonial times
It is situated near to Palakkad dristct hospital and kota maithan(the round between these places) It's a historical place, but no one cares about it!! Idk why but I didn't seen it with the lamps on!! Heavy traffic due to its place (at centre) This is the only problem people didn't care about it!!!
During the visits of VIPs the police used draw up protection schemes and very often the FIVE LAMPS will find a place, where a contingent will be posted. This is a historical monument and it has to be protected.
Well known historical landmark of the town. But being located on the middle of the road, this monument is less treated as historical icon, but like an abandoned traffic island.
It's very beautiful to see this.
avoid all type of banners and parking on the side of road in here . for pedestrians it's hard to walk and cross the road, the gov taking action all the time but people who do not know the rules make it bad again and again by using banners and posters all over the places

A lot of story about this place. A very nice cute temple with no shrines, but the footprints of bhagavathi is worshipped here. You can either take steps to reach the top of the mountain or the natural way. Good view from top.
