Horrible experience and utterly rude staff people. I called them to help with a stray dog thag needed treatment, and the guy, Mr. Brijesh, who was driving the van, was outright rude from the minute he first called. He spoke so rudely with my mother when she politely requested him to help us (we were 2-3 people) catch the stray dog with a net, with these words "dog net kya hawa me fekunga mai" and then with "faltu me call karke bula liya, ye ladies log ka dimag kharab hai, inke chakkar me padna he nahi chahiye". This was just a 2 minute conversation, and while we were trying to capture the dog, this guy rudely drove away and said, "mai nahi aaunga yaha kabhi dobara aapko jaise karna hai kar lo" to my mom in a very irritated tone. I can certainly understand they have many cases to help with, but this kind of rude tone and attitude, especially with older females, is just horrible and really makes one think twice before calling them for help. Not that they care or actually help. The dog ran past him twice, and he just stood there with his hands behind his back, not even tried to help out. To people who may think of calling them to help, please think twice, as they can behave the same way with your family as well, and WILL NOT ACTUALLY HELP. I've called other NGOs in the past and they've all been super helpful, and none of them ever talked to us this way, like it was a crime to help out a poor animal in need. You're better off calling another NGO or animal shelter.

Recently we have taken 10 dogs to the Humane Society International headquarters in Defence Colony to have them spayed and neutered. These are all road dogs around our house. We have also taken 2 dogs from our neighbours, with their permission, and had the same thing done. Recently we had a dog next door who had been with been attacked with a curved, serrated edge trimming tool and had a 14 inch, very deep cut that was literally hanging down in a flap and we needed to take this dog immediately to get treatment before it died. We took it to Rahaat and we are very glad we did. Dr.Uttam Singh and his staff took care of the emergency surgery. They managed the after care of this dog and kept it until it healed. Then we picked it up and put it back in its own pack of road dogs next to our home. We are utterly impressed with not only the people, but the service and the care that Rahaat has taken with just a street dog. It is quite amazing to see the care, professionalism and love that these people have demonstrated. Full credit to them, their staff, facilities and care. Highly recommended!!

Home like place for animals it is actually an animal hospital they are also doing in house blood work at the place. Great veterinarian.

Usually no ambulance service available for stray dogs, they wrap up after 6pm, charge the visitors with pets like private hospitals.vetrinary hospital in Raipur Is better if we consider charges.mostly staff of Rahat is cooperative.

If you want to read genuine comments then search for lowest rating. This place is a NGO, and was made for stray dogs. But this place does not do anything for stray dogs. We took one stray dog with a tumor, and we asked to keep that dog for 2-3 days and look after him. Also we said we will pay you for all fee, but atleast medicate him for his tumor. But they strictly said No, they said they only keep dogs with worst situations only. They charge too much for small things . Even a injevtion they charge 760-800 rs unnecessary fee. What type of NgO is this if they cant serve for stray dogs. This place was good earlier, but since this new doctor has come he only want to take money from needy people.

Raahat mein street animals ke liye bahut accha kaam ho Raha hai. They have given second life to so many diseased and injured animals. They not only treat street animals free of cost but also give very reasonable treatment and surgery for pet animals. Dr Uttam and his entire team is a blessing for the animals of Dehradun. Support their efforts generously by donating and helping them in other ways too

The place is good and they do take good care of animal, i had accidentally got ky car over a puppy, they took the puppy in and cared alot about it. Appreciate the good work.
