It's really a good place to visit near amaravati

I used to visit since my childhood.earlier well full of water.but i recently visited well is totally dry.Good place to visit with family. There is Shadal baba dargah located. Every one definitely visit once.holy place to visit our family.

It's a good place to spend a few hours looking at an empty well made by the Britishers. I was told by my parents that it used to be really full of water earlier but due to farming practices it lost all of it's water.

Every small town in India has its own distinct identity.Mahimapur is just like a common village,but located here is one of the ancient Archwell.This is the oldest surviving step well in Maharashtra. In order to get rid of the water related problems,such kindaa wells were used to build. It's a deep four sided well,the basic architectural aspect of this well consist of a long corridor of steps leading to 7 story. The design and structure of this well was intended to conserve as much water as possible. Not sure about the count but villagers have confirmed that this Archwell has 12 doors and 88 steps.Story says it has been constructed 700-800 years ago.

Great and holy place to visit. Has a historical background of more than 150 years. Great attraction is the well..which is built in very special and unique pattern.

Nothing much to catch but yes well is well sculptured and good for small photoshoot

Cleanliness is needed here. This place comes under the Archaeological Department but the people of the village need to pay attention to this place.

This is Mahimapur Archwell / Stepwell 7 storey Stepwell With Total 12 Doors n 88 Steps To Go Down to the bottom.. It Is Located 40km From Amravati District Constructed 700- 800 years ago by Yadavas Of Devgiri (Yadava Dynasty). . According to some historians this is one of The StepWell among 12 Stepwells Constructed in Between Achalpur to Daryapur. Mainly It is constructed to Overcome the water scarcity problem in that area.This Well is not less than any palace it has Halls , Rooms, Arches , Steps.
