Ancient Jain temples with many pillars. Richly imbued with history, politics and shaivait jain rivalry of the middle ages. A must see if you are visiting Halebidu, Karnataka. Quiet, well maintained, with its own Gardens.
What a lovely piece of architectural history..this place skies the confluence of a northern religion with the culture of the south. Jain scriptures written in the kanada language.. this is a wonderful place to come sit and envelope oneself in the pease and quiet of the place. It is a little room down currently as most PPL visit the main unesco Heritage site.(Shiva temple). This is just as great at the Heritage site and would encourage all to visit and promote the beauty and upkeep of the place
Amazing Jain temples built in the style of the halibedu temple . Hoysalas were Jains till they converted to Hinduism. Less crowded but well maintained. Insides are dark with the smell of the bat . No car parking available. But there are enough spaces on the road for parking.
Awesome sculptures.. Great history.. Kedareshwar temple.. But not much knowledge about this beautiful temple.. Some boards and directions could make accessibility easier and more tourist inflow.
More than 900 years old Jain Tample. Older than Hoysaleshwara Temple. We met one person who explained history of tample was a care taker. He told that only two Jain familes are living in this village and one of his family. We are amazed to see this historical place.
