Ancient Shri Jaina Narayana Temple - Hindu temple in Bagalkot - Bagalkote, India

On the way to Pattadkal and Aihole. Need to take a small deviation from the main road. The temple seems to be reconstructed as you can see numbers written on them and are placed in like puzzle. Also few of the photos uploaded by other reviewers are misleading.

Very beautiful architectural place. All kinds of architectures are present in the same premise. The lawn is lush green and very well maintained. It was an architectural school during chalukya dynasty. Surprisingly the washrooms were very clean and well equipped. Be sure to have local rotti with chutney and brinjal curry at the local restaurants outside. They serve fresh rottis straight from the tava.

Between Badami and Pattadakal, quite beautiful temple with nice carvings. Not so popular despite being in World Heritage site. In many of reviews, I saw many pics of Pattadakal and Aihole which confuses people who expect Pattadakal complex inside Jain temples. The marking shows it as "Jaina" temple in English.

Good place to visit while going to aihole from badami . The structure of the temple is so peaceful . One of the best place must visit if ur are coming to badami.

Pattadakal, also called Ratnapura, is a complex of 7th and 8th century CE, Hindu and Jain temples in Northern Karnataka, India. It is located on the bank of the malaprabha river, in bagalakoti district. This UNESCO World Heritage site is 23 km from Badami and 9.7 km from Aihole. All these are historical significant centres of Chalukya monuments. UNESCO describes pattadakal as "a harmonious blend of architectural forms, from southern and northern India" and an illustration of "electic art" at it's height.

The Jaina temple at Pattada Kallu was built in 9th century by the Rashtrakuta's. The kind of elephants and the pillars used here can be seen in Elephanta caves and Ellora caves. This temple has a stone ladder inside to access the roof, now which is closed by the authorities. The guide says that the actual temple was fallen down and it was rebuilt by the Archeological survey of India. The temple follows Dravidian style of temple architecture.

A decent place. Not a lot of people visit this temple. It is a small temple. The architecture is great though. The maintenance is not so great. There was a bad odour when we entered inside

This is near the group of temples in Pattadakal, a few 100m away. Nothing great to write about, just another nice piece of architecture from the past to see if you are in that town.
