There is nothing that describes it a fort apart from the entrance and a temple. There is a lake and a park. Park has only garden and dummy animals. Good for local outing. Entrance fee is 10 rupees per head.
There are really some valuable ancient relics which are ignored, instead there is a statue of Shivaji. The antiquity of the fort remains from Kadamba is totally washed off in new stories. There is no sign board, no information at all,. The hero stones with inscription may not last long. There is a beautiful artificial lake aside the fort is rich on water birds.

The corporation has failed to maintain the cleanliness and there are no more care takers of the park inside. There is a nominal fee of 5Rs/head.
