ANASAKTI ASHRAM...a place of Heart's Desire....No, I am not a very soulful, sentimental person rather a very pragmatic one. But there are some places, some beliefs, some memories, some sentiments buried deep under... ANASAKTI ASHRAM is one of my childhood dreams come true. Kaushani is itself a majestic creation of GOD...a place so serene and picturesque, all your worries will be vanished... that's why it is the Mini Switzerland of India. But, believe me, ANASAKTI ASHRAM is a place beyond earthly beauty...a place of Heart's Desire, a place all about feelings,...old moral values. No, thanks to modern business mentality, the place lost its celestial aura but a deep searching within yourself will surely transport you to an age where GANDHIJI himself reside here. The age-old ashram house is now turned into a pay boarding...Rs 600/ to Rs 850/ for double bed and Rs 1250/ for a suite and Rs 100/ for per meal. But business apart, once you are inside the campus, you will surely transport to another Higher World.
An aashram dedicated to Gandhi Ji. There are pictures of Gandhi ji's history starting from birth, schooling, british era till the end. Nice and very clean place. Gandhi Ji's three monkeys are there and one Gadhi Ji's statue. Though we didn't spend much time there but It was a good visit.
Its a meditation center inspired by Gandhiji's teachings situated over lush green hills near Kausani. Breathtaking view of snowy Himalayan mountain tops are visible from here.

Nice place in Kausani Uttrakhand with natural beauty. You can enjoy the sunrise in the mountains. A small hall with picture gallery is there showing the life abdd visit of Mahatma Gandhi ji. There is rooms available for accommodation as well. Rooms are old, it is like an old Dak Bangla. Amenities and service are average if not rated as below average. Food is also available but with limited option and cooked without onion. Quality of food is average.
