Ananthankadu Sree Nagaraja Temple Trust - Featured Reviews (411)
Ananthancaud Nangaraja Temple Trust is a beautiful temple that offers a rich and divine experience to its visitors. The temple is known for its daily poojas and Sarppa Bali rituals, which are performed with great sincerity and devotion. These rituals help to maintain the spiritual energy of the temple and its surroundings, and they also serve as a means of connecting with the divine. Valya Thirumeni was a significant part of the spiritual experience at the temple, and absence of his physical presence is undoubtedly a loss for the temple and its community. His guidance and teachings were known for their vision and kindness towards people, and he emphasized the importance of a divine centre in supporting society. His presence will be deeply missed, but his teachings and legacy will continue to live on through those whose lives he touched. Despite this loss, the temple's commitment to maintaining the spiritual energy of the surroundings and supporting the community remains strong. The daily poojas, Sarppa Bali rituals, and community initiatives all continue to be carried out with great sincerity and devotion. Witnessing these initiatives in action is a humbling experience and highlights the important role that temples and other spiritual institutions can play in supporting the well-being of society. The temple's practice of offering daily "Annadana" (free lunch) for the needy, financial aid for the elderly and patients, and medical aid for those in need is a testament to its commitment to serving the community. Overall, my experience at Ananthancaud Nangaraja Temple Trust is deeply enriching and fulfilling. I highly recommend visiting this temple to anyone who is seeking a meaningful spiritual experience.
Great experience i got from this temple.Only negative i have to say is the narrow route to entrance and no space for car parking. Its a medium sized temple with idol NAGARAJA. In front of this temple you can see another small nagaraja temple also. When you enter into temple first attraction is the golden coloured sreekoil with sculptures on it. Also you can notice there a real tree(SARPPAGHANDHI) blossomed besides the nagaraja idol. In front of the sree koil we can see other idols of gods are worshiped. On the left hand side there is a waiting area there the most attracting visual treat is presented ie the DASAVADHAARAM very beautifully pasted on the wall. The pooja takes little more time and it starts at 11am. At noon there is annadhanam with 2 to 3 types of curries.
Divine, spiritual place, the pooja is done in a very systematic way,the preists & staff are too good
Located at the heart of Thiruvananthapuram and adjacent to Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Ananthankadu nagaraja temple is certainly a divine and peaceful temple. My first visit here was back in 2021 and since then I became a regular devotee of this divine temple. I have been to lot of temples, but never have i ever seen the type of poojas and offerings that's been done in Ananthankadu temple. Ananthankadu temple is one of the prime reasons for the establishment of Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple. The deity here is ANANTHAN who is considered to be the greatest among the ashtanagas. The presence of VALIYA THIRUMENI is another divine specialty here. His presence and his ability to peacefully suggest solutions to problems is another speciality of this temple. The festival here is very auspicious and special. The temple also offers annadhana everyday. The staff here is very co operative and has the audacity to clear any queries of pilgrims. Truly it's a must visit place. Ps: There are two temples here, the original temple is inside the building with a sarpagandha tree besides the deity.
Have been visiting this temple for a few years. I personally love to visit this temple often. Ananthankadu temple is worshipping nagarajas and there is a banyan tree in front of the temple which keeps us energised and relaxed
Good temples but the legal matter with temple n family and its competition should not spoil its auspicious environment. Dont forget you are dealing with Naga devathas... so try not to do politics there. Otherwise its a nice environment.
They are selling same packets of agarbatis again and again. And giving rotten bananas as prasadam to devotees. I really don't know if they use same rotten bananas for god!!!!
One of the popular temples in the East Fort area, adjacent to Sree Anantha Padmanabhan temple.
