I recently had the pleasure of dining at Anantha Bhavan INN, a pure veg restaurant near Fort Cochin, which provided a truly exceptional dining experience. We were looking for a place that serves Sadhya (a traditional Kerala meal served on a banana leaf). We were told they disnt have it, but they would serve something similar on a meal set. The indoor seating was small but each table did have a fan too cool you off from the scorching outside heat, and a large sink with soap was available to wash your hands outside. the place had an overall good clean vibe, however the meal itself was a bit letdown. Pretty much everything we were served was ice cold, while i don't expect every lentil or vegetable dish to be fuming hot, it would have been nice to have a meal that is warm and feels fresh. The food lacked flavor, spices and salt. overall i would not return.

Best food we had in india! We were in Fort Kochi for 3 days and we ate here 3 times. The food was amazing. Rich delicious flavours but also very healthy and great ingredients. The staff are lovely and the owner goes above and beyond to welcome you and even talks you through the different dishes and flavours and the health benefits of each. They do thali lunch from 1pm and amazing dosas from 4pm. We will be back. Can't recommend enough!

For a family or single average Indian family can eat good food with clean and neat atmosphere.for my experience ( I stayed around one month in fort Cochin) and I ate food in different restaurant every day and found ananthabhavan inn hotel is the only hotel in fort Cochin to eat good food at affordable price.eg.masaladosa @60 rupees only,tea 10 rupees.i like the clean and neat and friendly approach or behaviour of the staff.

Lakshmi's restaurant is absolutely amazing. I had the uthapam and it was perfect. The batter was fluffy and the veggies were fresh. It was seasoned to perfection and accompanied by two chutneys and a sambal which were all equally seasoned to perfection. Lakshmi herself is a kind, warm hearted and passionate person who takes time to talk to and explain her love for food to all her guests. She speaks in 5 languages and her passion to serve amazing food over profit is evident from every syllable which leaves her mouth. If you are in Fort Kochin you absolutely must visit this place

We ate here every day we were in Kochi - the food was healthy, delicious and very affordably priced. Generous portions too! We loved the breakfast - the masala dosa and uttapam were our favourites. Service was very friendly and quick. Highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for a veg meal.

I do not recommend this restaurant at all. Food was ok to taste... Service was pathetic... Like they don't give a damn they know they're going to get customers... Catering to locals... They were angry too.. The favourite were the foreign tourists... Sometimes i feel y this discrimination... But had food once & then on did not wish to get insulted again..

stumbled across this wonderful restaurant while looking for lunch--the sweet owner came to talk to us after we ate our delicious masala dosa and onion uttapam and shared that she was on season 5 of masterchef india! the staff were all kind and attentive and the outdoor setting has a nice ambience. the price is very affordable as well, highly recommend stopping by!
