Formerly known as kovai Alankar Vilas, this one has upped the tempo and the class of their dishes. Jumping into the review!! Chicken meals - Served on a long banana leaf, this one had poriyal (potato), kootu (chow chow), pachidi (beetroot), boiled rice with appalam and egg. For the gravies, it was chicken (with meat), mutton, fish (only gravies); Curd, and Gulkand to finish with This is one perfect meal with all the taste buds going bonkers. Juicy meat, slurpy gravy mixed with the rice and a bit of mild spiced potato, and crunchy appalam on top, BLISS!! The mutton gravy had a coconutty flavor while the pachidi added a lot of kick to the overall meal, Loved it, it was very sumptuous even without extra rice!! Chicken kola biryani - Spicy seeraga samba biryani with classic kongu flavors in it; very fragrant, topped with minced (& fried) chicken balls (kola urundai); succulent meat and the raita this was TOP NOTCH Mor milagu kalakki - Nothing different from a normal Kalakki; soft and smooth, falls in one gulp Pichi pota kozhi - BL chicken chopped well and tossed in curry leaves, onions, and spicy masala; that saturated flavor from the gravy and the tender meat in combination with the meals was AWESOME Kozhi vada - Succulent and soft; hot on the inside while well fried on the outside, almost like a cutlet, GOOD Mutton kothu Kari biryani - Very aromatic and flavorful seeraga samba biryani; no frills, quite spicy but the chopped tender mutton curry on top of the rice has more onions rather than meat (if only it had more meat) this is easily the best biryani!! While the service is very courteous with good attention to detail, the decor has changed considerably. It was all well-lit, with good seating space (though limited) with a valet parking facility. Great Quantity: Price ratio!!

A restaurant which specialises in Kongu Nadu food(Western Tamil Nadu region -- Coimbatore, Erode, Salem...). Had a really good experience here. Nice ambience, tasty food and amazing service as well. They have a variety of non veg and vegetarian dishes from starters to sides, but I would recommend this place for non veg lovers. They serve non veg and veg meals, biryani and non veg kothu rices. Whatever you eat make sure to try their elaneer payasam at the end. Do visit this place if you are ever around the Nungambakkam area.

One of the best mutton dum biriyani, gola urundai, kothamalli milagu kozhi varuval i have had and highly recommend it too. Guntur chicken, chicken leg fry are good. Had a different expectations when I read Chicken curry rice in the menu but it's kind of a chicken fried rice which was little disappointing still tastes good. We reached around 2.30pm few items were not available including deserts and little disappointing curry rice are the reason for 4star. Spl mention for their hospitality and amazing song collection. Had a great time with friends.

Good food.. but it's best for non-veg... Vegetarians doesn't have many items to enjoy with... Spl paneer 65 was good among veg

The food here was amazing. We came here at the evening. The chicken kari dosa was amazing and soft. The parota with chicken 65 was my personal favourite!!! Also the prawn 65 is recommended. Mukesh was brilliant with his service and was always there to assist when we needed him.

Superb restaurant for Kongu style non veg food. Their service is excellent, they serve with a smile on their face, which is quite rare these days in normal restaurants. Their Briyani and special vegetarian meals are great. There is ample parking space for two wheelers and cars here

Great food, great ambience & also the service. The staffs were courteous.Went there on sat for lunch.It was bit crowded but got table in 10 min.Ordered chicken & fish meals along with chicken biryani. Its traditional south Indian food (Kongu style) with very good quality & did not have excessive spices or oil.Quantity was good in meals.Chicken dum biryani was great.Washroomis clean. Prices are reasonable.Would absolutely return and recommend this place to my friends.
