Hello Everyone, We had heard a lot about Anand Sagar and were keen to visit the place. There was no Entry Fee. Parking space was almost empty and free. However, there were still few visitors around. All the park and garden area had overgrown with vegetation. The structures inside were in accessible for visitors. The temple was very beautiful. We learnt that the park is closed for renovation and will remain closed for some more days.
First of all I would like to say shegaon is a religious place not a tourist spot, those who are writing review and giving stars they even don't know what is shegaon famous for. People visit shegaon for Darshan of shree Gajanan Maharaj samadhi not for tourism. One of the reason behind closure of Anand sagar is many people mistaking shegaon as tourist place considering Anand sagar. Please don't visit shegaon if you don't know about Gajanan Maharaj and shegaon sansthan. First understand the divine power of place and then write the reviews.
Recently they've demolished the very nice park they had previously, but still a vast place to roam around amidst various types of trees, One Ganesh Mandir and Shiv Mandir are still there. With green leashed walking trails around to visit for walks and take your kids for playing. Place is very clean and they make sure it remains the same.
