Very nice place to visit but stay away from water because of alligators.Good place to watch sunrise and sunset and there is also place for photography and to take view of dam.
It's such a beautiful place. Fun to explore. 11km walk from the dam to a little stream at the other end. Lots of birds to watch. It's only scary because of the alert. Beware and don't go close to the water.
Awesome place to visit. We went there on a weekday, no other tourists were there. But I'll suggest you to park your bike or car just before the dam starts as further road is very narrow and only one car can pass at a time.
Mind-blowing..... Very picturesque, peaceful. Road repairs are onn
The dam itself is a very scenic and serene place, however it is very poorly maintained. While the dam has road on it, there is no safety side walls. Reaching the place is easy and very good roads. The place can be a good spot if well maintained
Calm & Pleasant place to visit with your Family or Friends Group. We recommend this place to visit early in the morning & late evening after 4pm. We visited Amthane Dam on the weekend (Sunday). As on the board it was written there are crocodiles we didn't find any. Overall a good experience.
Dam has good capacity to cater the population around. The area around is being redone. The road is getting widening.
A calm and peaceful place to pass your evening. Obviously a photogenic place. However one needs to be careful while venturing in the waters as there are crocodiles and there has been a recent case of a woman washing clothes that has been dragged by crocodiles. So it's best to avoid going in water.
