Not worth the price, not even close. It should cost less than half. The staff was very helpful and friendly and responded well to our feedback, but for the price we paid, I expected MUCH more from the hotel itself. I understand that the hotel is on the Ganges, but this is the only selling point they have. It doesn't justify 200-350$, and even less so in India, it's basically an Indian average salary for every night. If you can find another decent hotel near the Ganges, get that and save hundreds of dollars a night, or just stay further away in a nicer hotel and get a quick rickshaw to the river.

I stayed in Amritara for 2 nights. I had a wonderful experience, the place is beautiful. The location is the best part of the hotel. If you book a room with them they give you a free evening boat ride to see the Ganga aarti. The cons are the food is nice but very expensive for the quantity that they give. They provide tea and water on the boat ride but the amount of time we wait before the aarti is way to much.. people who have motion sickness can feel dizzy and i felt pukish after a point of time beacuse of the stench. Since the haveli is exactly on the ghat they hotel sends a porter to collect your luggage from a certain point where the cars can't go. We were given a electric auto ride till the hotel. But what i dint like is they dint give us a auto ride on our way back.. but a beautiful experience the staff was great and courteous. I had a beautiful experience!

It is bit far from main city, its near ganga but only issue you need to travel 4-5 kms for main area, also reaching this place is bit difficult as the can cannot take you till hotel. So u have to lift your luggage.

We paid 8000+ taxes for the rooms and were given an upgrade at 3000 for a suite. Both the rooms were pretty standard and not worth the money we spent. The only good thing about the property was the location. Other than that the property is dainty and not at all worth the price. Reaching the location is difficult, you have to walk after a certain point. It is more difficult when you have little kids travelling with you. The food wasn't great either, the dinner we had was served after a long wait and it wasn't good. The breakfast too was bland. The staff is sweet at your face, but they will go through your stuff if they get an opportunity. We left our luggage in their care for sometime and things were stolen, we realised when we got back home. This is inappropriate and completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this place to anybody I know.

We stayed in the property for 3 nights and took the all inclusive package. This is one of the best proprties I have stayed at. The hotel took care of everything from the start to the end. The staff is really nice and helpful. Special shout out to Uday who is a very very nice man. The location was good and the vibe was brilliant. There were minor improvements i suggested to Uday and I hope they are looked after when i visit them again next year.

The location is excellent. However, (1) I paid Rs31,000 PER DAY for 11 days to 7th Jan 23. Yet, since last 4 days they have been selling the rooms for less than half! And I was told I had been given significant discount. (2) They said the hotel is non smoking. Yet the guest are allowed to smoke in all common areas and you get the smoke in your rooms! Last 3 mornings and nights have been very disturbing. If you are affected by cigaret smoke as I am, your stay will become miserable. (3) The place is not suitable for Senior citizens like us.
