Now it's named as Taj Hotel, New town, CC2. It's luxurious and beautiful. Foods, Banquet, Rooms are awesome.
Only if you want tag of staying in ***** then you can stay in this hotel. All linen, toiletries, interior cleanliness, hygiene was as per 5 star standard, but that u can get in a 3 star too. The reason of ranking 3 star are as below1- Poor room service. I called at 8;45 am for water and after 4th reminder I got it at around 9:302 - Breakfast buffet - When you are in Taj your expectations are more than high in terms of breakfast. Very regular menu, limited options. Not even desserts. If your money is hard earned. don't stay at Taj Newtown. Rest is your choice
I had a lovely experience. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The food was fabulous and yummy. I had great time here. Would love to visit again.
The service is pretty slow and housekeeping takes ages to deliver despite repeated reminders. As a business traveller, I prefer hotels with a faster service as I need to frequently head out for meetings. I stayed at ITC Shonar Bangla last time and was truly impressed with the promptness in service. Taj New town needs to up their service game if they are looking for repeat business from frequent business travellers like me.
