I had visited this place in the month of January, where the normal temperature in the city is around 18 degrees. It was a nice relief to visit the lake in the afternoon, wherein there was a nice breeze around the area. The lake area has been very well maintained and was very clean.
You can experience peaceful lakeside walking here. Must visit in the morning when sunrise and at sunset you can see a beautiful view

A beautiful large lake completely still and placid. The walkway goes along the edge of the lake. Just beside dharampet college metro station, a short flight of stairs leads from the road upto the walkway. The rest of the slopy side from the walkway to the road has quite dense trees making ot a kind of a mini forest. As you walk on the footpath of the road, you see paths through this "jungle" going up to the walkway which could be inviting to take. But late in the evenings it's pitch dark and seems quite risky. There's a board by the side of the steps welcoming you and not mentioning any time limits. So i guess gmap's specification of "open 24 hours" is correct. There's no lighting along the walkway as well leaving it absolutely dark which in a way is good that you may possibly see the water shimmering in the moonlight on a full moon night. But that also makes it feel not so safe in the late evenings. You could enjoy a very calm and peaceful time up there.
I just LOVE this place. You can even do swimming there. The best time to visit is early morning. When it rains fog comes over the water and it looks very beautiful. You should visit it.
The road is good for morning walk, evening walk and jogging. The morning hours and evening hours are the best time to visit. You get a nice cool breeze here all the time. The place is good for fishing, lot of people comes here for fishing. The road is not paved though and it also requires street lamps as it get too dark after evening that you hardly can see anything.
One of the most beautiful places in Nagpur. You'll fall in love with the view of the setting sun over the clear waters of the lake. An awesome place to cherish the beauty of the nature and hangout with friends and loved ones.
