Extremely Disappointing Experience with Poor Service and Tasteless Food
Date of Visit: June 10, 2023
Rating: (1/5)
I had the unfortunate experience of dining at Amardeep Garden Restaurant on a recent evening, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. Even though I had high hopes for a pleasant dinner, this restaurant failed to meet even the most basic standards of service and quality.
To begin with, the parking space was a nightmare. The restaurant's inadequate parking area forced me to park on the street, where the constant passing of heavy vehicles posed a serious risk to my parked car. It was an accident waiting to happen, and the chances of getting hit felt like a guaranteed 100%.
Furthermore, the lack of wheelchair-friendly access at the entrance was truly disheartening. It is essential for any establishment to cater to the needs of all customers, including those with disabilities. Amardeep Garden Restaurant failed in this regard, making it inconvenient and discriminatory.
However, the most appalling aspect of my visit was the encounter with the Owner/Manager. Upon entering the restaurant, I politely requested to have my 1-year-old child's food heated. Instead of showing any empathy or willingness to accommodate such a simple request, the Owner/Manager responded with a shocking display of attitude. Their high-swinging arrogance instructed me to prioritize ordering my food first, disregarding the needs of my child. This lack of compassion and understanding was absolutely unacceptable.
As for the food itself, it was an absolute disappointment. The Kaju Ghatiya gravy was drowning in heavy cream and oil, completely overshadowing any other flavors it might have had. It was an overwhelming and greasy mess, lacking any balance or finesse.
The Tamata Saag was no better, as it tasted overwhelmingly of besan sev. The expected finesse and balance were nowhere to be found, leaving me thoroughly unimpressed.
The so-called "Veg Special Amardeep" was a far cry from its promised medley of mixed vegetables. Instead, it consisted primarily of grated cheese, kaju, cream, and peas. The absence of actual mixed vegetables was highly disappointing, and it felt like a cheap attempt to cut corners and deceive customers.
To add insult to injury, the rotis we were served had a burnt flavor that lingered unpleasantly in the mouth. Not only were they paper-thin, but they were also ridiculously small in size. It was an insult to call them rotis, and they certainly did not meet even the most basic standards of taste and quality.
Overall, my dining experience at Amardeep Garden Restaurant was nothing short of a disaster. The poor parking space, lack of wheelchair accessibility, and terrible attitude of the Owner/Manager significantly marred the evening. The unpalatable and poorly prepared dishes only further added to my disappointment.
As a mother, I would strongly advise against dining at this establishment, especially if you have a child. The lack of empathy and disregard for basic customer needs, combined with the subpar food quality, make this restaurant a place to avoid at all costs.
Average Kind of Food. Depending on Food You Order some sabjis are good but some are not. Veg. Tuffani is not good but Cheese Butter Masala is Good. First nan is good but second is not. May be because of heavy traffic for dinner. Buttermilk is not Good compared to Price.
Lovely food.... I like dahi tikhari and soft roti. One can eat here.
This is such an amazing place for small celebrations. We had recently arranged a party at this place, and must say the food and service provided by Hotel Amardeep was excellent. There is also a children's play area, so that each age group can enjoy it here. There is a stage as well as a mic and sound system. So, it is perfect for small parties as well as programs.
