The temple in Amaravati, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is one of the pancharama kshetras in Andhrapradesh. The temple is also called Amaralingeswara Swamy. Amareswara Temple is located at Amaravathi city which is the capital to Andhra Pradesh state. As it is a prominent place one can board bus from twin cities located nearer to Amaravathi i.e., Guntur and Vijayawada.

Big temple. Mythological temple. One of the temple in "Pancharamam". Transportation is very easy. you can find lot of busses from Guntur. We have visited on 1st day of Karthika masam 2023. Crowded not too much but ok. Temple is peaceful. You can lit up diyas (deepam). There are free darshan and 100/- darshan. We went for 100/- darshan which into garbhalaya. We had a very peaceful darshan. There are sub temples for someswara swamy, mahishasura mardhini, vinayaka, venu gopala swamy temple, etc but all the pujaris expects money. They are asking to give dakshina atleast 21/- especially in venu gopala swamy temple pujari. This made me felt commercial. Temples become commercial these days. Collecting money in the name of god.

Nice temple, it is called as Amararama temple and it is one of the Pancharama temples of lord shiva. We went on sunday and there was no queue, darshan completed in 5 minutes. Shivalinga will be very tall. There is a ghat for krishna river near this temple where we can bath in krishna river. And there were washrooms available which were neat and clean.

One of the best lingas I have visited in my life. But use toll road while going to temple. Though it shows as if, more time to travel, u will travel faster. The shortest route from Vijayawada to this temple is the worst route

I recommend the visitors to leave footwear near the river side as that will get u both benefits to enjoy river and temple
