An exhibition hall also here. Amar Kutir located on the banks of the Kopai river, about 1 kilometres from Sonajuri hat in Birbhum district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Amar Kutir also a historical place. Sushen Mukherjee, the founder of Amar Kutir was born late in the eighteenth century, hailing from a remote suburb of Calcutta City. After India gained independence from the British, Amar Kutir became a cooperative to rejuvenate and develop rural handicrafts, reflecting the ideals of self-help and sustainable rural development advocated by Tagore.

It is a shop having full handmade things. There are many type of things like sarees, garment, bags, key chain , dairy which are rapped with clothes . This all are handmade things. In the area of this shop, there is a snacks counter where you can get some snack and enjoy it by sitting on the special handmade chairs made of wood. While enjoying the snacks you can watch raj haush and rabits which is beside the glass. You can also enter the place which is just beside the snacks counter. You can also have your lunch there by asking the orderer that where is the restaurant. After having the location you can order your food at the restaurant.

It's a treasure place for those are love boutique & handmade products. Price are reasonable place is also very peaceful. It's besides the 'kopai river' (kopaai ndir tiire). Kavi guru Rabindrnaath Tegor has written many poem & stories in this place.
