Amar Jawan Park. - Park in Thrissur - Thrissur, India

It is a small park located near the civil station in ayyanthole. There is no entry fee to park. There is a walkway and exercise equipments in the park.This is a good park for children and elders. People come here for walking, jogging in early morning and evening. It is a well maintained park. There is an open air stage in the park. The park is situated in a calm and cool atmosphere because it is surrounded by big trees and shrubs. There are a lot of chairs in the park. A separate toilet for ladies and gents was in the park.

Even though the park is centrally located with good connectivity it is poorly maintained. Open spaces are very little in Thrissur and this area is actually a blessing. The walkway is full of bird droppings with a very foul smell. The park provides some amenities for children but scare of bird droppings is there

Small, well maintained park good for taking a walk round its paved pathway and also for sitting on benches and relaxing. There is a memorial for the fallen soldier in front of the park and hence the name- park of the Amar Jawan or The Immortal Soldier. Some parking is available. Good refreshments/food available outside nearby except on Sundays. The Thrissur Collectorate is right next to this park.

Nice place for children. The play area is good. There is a jogging track around the park for walking and jogging.

Small park and good for morning and evening walkers. Childrens can nicely enjoy the place .Lack of maintenance spoiling the area ( full of mosquitos in the evening).Amar jawan jyothi situated there. Small portion of parking available. No entrance fee.Morning 6 am to 10 am and evening time are open.

Nicely built remeberance tomb for the military martyrs. The place have a cool and pleasent ambiance even when it is situated in the most important part of city. Roads surrounding the park is also well maintained.

A sense of Patriotism, nostalgic atmosphere prevails, Salute to the Martyrs who selflessly sacrificed and laid down their lives so that we may live in Peace and Harmony . They gave their Today for our Tomorrow.
