I recently had the pleasure of staying at Amanvana Spa Resort, and I must say it was a truly memorable experience. From the moment I made the reservation, thanks to Mr. Swarup, I felt well taken care of The resort itself is a tranquil oasis nestled in the midst of nature. The lush green surroundings, the serene atmosphere provide the perfect backdrop for relaxation. The spa treatments were top-notch The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, The staff's was very good and taking care of us
We had a wonderful experience in Amanvana resort. The staff members are so cooperative and humble, always willing to help the customers in all possible ways. Food is simply awesome. Buffet spread is vast and very tasty. Resort is build at a beautiful location and very well maintained. Cottages are very spacious and clean. I will definitely visit again, thanks to each one of you!!!
Amanvana resort offers a serene ambiance that's truly rejuvenating, with its proximity to the Kaveri River enhancing the overall experience. However, I was surprised to find that they charge an additional "25%" fee for serving food on the deck near the river, which is merely 50 meters away from their main restaurant. This seemed a bit excessive and left me a bit baffled. Regarding the food, it was not exceptional but decent. We ordered chicken biryani with a request for less spice, but unfortunately, it turned out to be quite spicy. While it wasn't exactly what we expected, it was still palatable. Despite these minor drawbacks, Amanvana Resort is a peaceful oasis within the city. The natural surroundings and tranquility make it a worthwhile place to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.
It was my best decision to book this place. Bungalows are extremely clean and peaceful. The kaveri riverside is well maintained with hammocks and chairs and is serene place to relax Staff are extremely polite and helpful. Food was also great. This place is worth the money and a must try place if you are a luxury traveller or trying to relax.
Good resort to visit with family. The resort is covered with greenery and it is very close to cauvery river. One can spend sometime next to the river. Room have sofa cum bed to accommodate kids and it has kids activities as well. Every day a kids movie is played near amphitheater.
During my recent stay at Amanvana resort, I had a generally pleasant experience. The amenities, food, and service at the buffet were commendable. The hostess at the buffet was particularly courteous. However, on the night of November 3rd, around 8 PM, we were disappointed when the reception staff refused to provide a basic band-aid for a minor nail injury that was bleeding. Despite our repeated requests, the staff denied our request for a band-aid. This incident stood in contrast to a previous experience at Ayatana resort, where the staff went the extra mile for us. While the resort offered many positives, this aspect was lacking and fell short of our expectations for a premium establishment.
Our overall experience was okay, was expecting it to be much better though. However it turned out to be quite average. Location is good, road leading to resort is also smooth. The resort is actually like a 'van' which means forest. The landscape and greenary are noteworthy. Staff and service was good. Rooms were nice too, however it lacked ventilation in the living area where the TV was kept, as AC was far away. TV was just for ornamental purpose as 90% channels didn't work, not did the smart TV access was on. Rather not have TV in the room. The bathroom was the highlight of the room for sure. The most disappointing part was food. Neither the local cuisines were well prepared, not the buffet breakfast had lot of options. Food quality was poor and needs a lot of improvement. We had to visit another resort for lunch the other day. Another sad part was the 'indoor games' section, which was in bad shape, needed maintenance. Also, there was no gym in the resort, ideally there should have been one. So it was a 1 time visit for us. For the price they charge, I don't think the quality and service provided justifies it.
Pros - Food is decent, rooms are neat and it has bathtub and place is very peaceful and serene. Cons - Not worth the money you spend. 13k-15k per day is not worth at all. There are good stays for the same price in Madikeri itself with the view and importantly the weather. As this place is 45 mins away from Madikere and not in hills so don't expect the cold/hilly weather. No balcony as this a bungalow and you have a small sit out in the front, to be avoided in the night because of insects and other reptiles. No much activities in this place and for everything you have to travel outside.
