Nice place to board the train to matheran. Washrooms are decent. Roads are clean. Station was clean. Here, you can also buy disposable raincoats just for Rs. 50.

Nice railway station. I went during heavy rain. You will be firstly surrounded by local vendors. They will offer various services like, horse rental, hotel rooms etc. Although journey from Aman lodge station to Matheran hill is hardly 20 mins and try to sit on left side of window to get most breathtaking view. The only missing part is that, this railway station doesn't have any sort of sitting arrangement. This is definitely an issues for elders
This train station is a second last station towards Matheran on the Neral - Matheran track. The toy train operates on this track and one can board the train while returning back to Neral after visiting on the tourist spots in the locality. Ticket counter is right adjacent to the station.

Station for the Toy train. It's just 5 mins walking from the Matheran entrance. The station is very small. If the weather's pleasant would suggest you walk to the market instead of waiting for the tout train. You get to see pretty views. It's just 20-30 mins walking depending on your walking speed.
