Worth all the hype for the food and taste. Poricha parotta with chicken roast, egg kothu parotta and plain parotta with salna we tried all tasted really good. They can reduce the oil in the salna. But the onion thalisam with oil in the salna gives a special taste. Must try if in Tuticorin. Salna kalaki is also too good.
Opted for the chicken poricha parotta set which was a delightful culinary experience, bursting with flavors. However the taste of the chilly chicken didn't justify the cost. The establishment operates on a cash-only basis, lean towards the expensive side and seating was a bit congested. During my lunch visit, the shop was undergoing a cleaning process, resulting in a 30minute wait for dine-in, with service commencing at 2pm.
Tried porucha parotta with Kadai gravy - Very spicy and too oily. Very old place of Tuticorin. I didn't like the food served there. But Tuticorin people like this place and highlighted as best non veg place to have dinner.
That food is not good quality. Serving people not cleaning their hands. Water glass everything parota or some gravy is there. Borata tastes also not fresh. I won't go again. A lot of people said this shop's taste is so good that's why we went there. We ordered chicken fry I told him this is for kids. But they gave like a pepper chicken gravy type. I asked that person and he said we won't give dry fry madam. Why he didn't inform me when I asked I want for kids better don't go their. And they will ask only cash no Gpay or card.
Food is over-hyped i feel from my view. Parotta is their best seller. And rest of the sides are okay but costly surprisingly. Egg sides are good. No car parking so best be prepared

What a delicious, mouth watering, scrumptious dishes they have.. jam packed, crowded, noisy, greasy place. But every senses of yours will be put to work. Wow being said that the food is tasty and the aroma will bring you tears. I think every Indian should go and taste the food here. Could have been a little cleaner.. but it's ok for me.. please take away your dishes.
Finally we get to try out Alwar Restaurant. If you're are trying it to the first time it's just awe old authentic South Indian style food. We have ordered Two Plate Parotta. Porutha Parotta with Chicken Curry was the best one I had ever had. Mutton Chukka and Chicken varuval tastes very good. Must try should be Kalaki with kolambu if you're kalaki lover.
