What's best about Kerala is definitely their toddy shops. It's iconic, it's has finger licking spicy food, it has great ambience and it's super cheap! You eat what ever you feel like with your group and once the bill come it may not even cross 4 digits! . So we had picked this lovely place on our alleppy drive and it was a great afternoon and the kitchen was warming up with naadan dishes. We peeped in to have a great look at the items and they Jagan Chettan had prawns, crabs, fish curry, duck, beef, kakka irachi and kappa. Ordered everything!! . The crabs were majestic, Farzeen was nagging me for crabs from last few days and she digged all in when it arrived. It was spicy and mostly we all had tears while eating and we didn't care! . Crispy prawns were classic, deep fried and no extra spices..just the hot chilli that will go right with the Kallu aka Toddy. A sip of toddy and a piece of prawns is all you need! Are you drooling? . Kakka Irachi aka Clams fry is a delicacy of Kerala and we love it. Rightly spiced and roasted with sliced coconut chips, it's amazing! If you haven't rated this, it's a must have and ask me!! . Duck roast is another regional delicacy from alleppy and you may find a lot of ducks to buy on your alleppy drive. The duck roast was not spicy but had been made with creamy gravy and goes best with appam. We had fish curry too and loved these combinations with the roasted kappa aka tapioca.

Food here is great. If one is looking for naadan Alleppey style food, you will get it here. The place is very simple and neat.

Worst food and toddy was not good. Also they have given a surprising bill for this poor food. Please ask rate before having food. Really pathetic experience
