We have just spent the last 5 days on the beach by Alex Place. The food, staff, atmosphere and general ambience were outstanding. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there everyday. The fresh garlic butter tuna they cooked me was incredible and big enough for two! We had the best time. We had planned to visit other establishments, but didn't see the need! Prices were very reasonable.
Didn't find good food at all. We have tried almost everything from the menu and didn't find at least 1 good food item. There are few other shacks that can provide better food nearby
This is the worst shack. This owner started abusing us when we used his shower by mistake for taking a bath for my child. He didn't even allow us to dress her after shower. When I was taking a pic of his shack...he showed his finger. Please check the pic. Most disgusting and disrespectful person I have met in Goa till now.
We ordered the Peri Peri King Prawns and it was absolutely delicious! The sauce, perfectly marinated merged with the fresh prawns. The dish was value for money compared to other places in Candolim. Feni with Limca went great with the dish. Great portions and great service! The server was great though I can't recall his name! Absolutely a must visit for king prawns!
Food wasn't bad and wasn't awesome but staff was indeed not courteous.... We were 10, 6 adults and 4 kids and only on our 3rd call for order we were told to order all at once and that too when we were the only customers on this shack and other shacks were relatively crowded... Owner, when contacted, was emotionless. Although, we heard that he was scolding staff but did not do anything to stop us from leaving when we asked for bill as we felt bad with family... Anyways, won't be visiting or recommending this shack for sure... Bay View was and will always be my first choice on Candolim
Wasted Rs520 on the worst fish and chips. Fish was deep fried and was dark brown in colour and tasteless, fries were soggy and full of oil. On top of it staff started arguing that this is how fish and chips are made! Worst experience! Sharing this review so that others don't end up wasting their money!
Love the vibe, I have been coming here for last many years. Staff is nice and welcoming. Alex looks after his guests really well. Would want to come again and again.
Special mention to the owner/manager who volunteered to look after our things while we wanted to step out to the beach. We loved the breakfast and enjoyed a nice quiet time at the shack.
