Genuinely, Never faced any water scarcity. Food given thrice in a day, breakfast lunch and dinner separately time to time. Environment is very good. Location of hostel is very good everything is nearby to the hostel.

After technically staying here for 3 years (2017-20), I would probably recommend this hostel to anyone looking for one. As from my experience, this hostel did fulfill all the adequate facilities required for students. Mostly all the rooms were brightly litted and had windows for ventilation. The hostel itself had a quiet environment (anyways I was never really fond of noise). It was located close to college and the market was nearby; just perfect for evening strolls (even without any company). During those 3 years, the hostel changed dynamically... leaving one thing constant, every other kong (didi) who came along the way, they served us well and were always helpful the whole time. The wardens were very considerate too and also their patience is worth a mention; I do acknowledge their hospitality towards us and I'm still very grateful whenever I think back on it. If anyone seeing this decides to stay here, good luck there! Tips: 1. Look for a room on the first floor; it's simply quiter 2. Either go for single room or a twin share 3. Bring electric kettle (it's a must) and also curtains for main door 4. Be frank if you have problems [Con] The food might not meet up to one's expectations (sorry uncle >_<)

This is one of the best hostels in shillong, I really loved staying here, our warden Uncle is a very nice person , a loveable man he is. Although I have stayed in a single room and not many friends visiting me, Safi was a good company to me and she's the half warden I'd say, the strict little sister that made sure everyone was at hostel! I loved the location because every evening I could go down to beat house and have those yummy Momo's from the Kong sitting there. But our hostel (I still call it ours) they really need to work on the food. They put too much haldi! It stains all our utensils and it's so difficult to put out the stain! Apart from the food, which is good I think but I personally could not adjust to it, our hostel is really a nice option.

I stayed here from 2013-14. Only few student were there during my time. I miss Shillong and this hostel was my home away from home. Safe place, good food, good family. God bless Aldbeth girls hostel.
