Had a wonderful experience at Alamdar Guest House with clean rooms, amazing service and a very welcoming host ( Sahil) who guided us and made our trip a lot easier. Located at a prime spot, near to Dal lake and great accessibility to market, hospital and good restaurants. Highly recommended!!!

The rooms are good and they have the best service and food. Hospitality is excellent. Location is also ideal for tourists. Food is home made and it's very delicious.

5th July to 10th July 2023: Solo Stay after this year's Amarnath ji Yatra: My 2nd time here after 4 days in October 2021 - This Guest house, Sahil bhai & Family are like my 'home away from home' in Srinagar - here i get tasty home made food, budget stay, clean rooms, garden to relax, peaceful surroundings, walking distance (1 km) from Dal Lake (Ghats), lots of eating joints nearby, safe to walk on roads till late - for those who need, Sahil bhai can even arrange taxi/auto/shikara ride/travel to nearby places & can guide them about Kashmir: 2-wheelers can be parked inside guest house & 4-wheelers parking can be arranged at a safe place. Highly recommended for Solo traveler's (Male & Females both), couples, family.

I had a wonderful stay here. Received a warm welcome and Sarhil he truly went above and beyond to help me. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for basic, clean accomodation with extremely friendly staff. The location is great and is a very short walk from many great restaurants serving incredible veggie meals.

We stayed there for a week and had an amazing experience. Clean rooms, calm atmosphere, accessible to all major tourist locations. Special thanks to Sahil and his family for Eid treat.. Sahil (owner) helped us lot for planning our trip, suggestions about various locations, hiring of bikes etc etc... I recently stayed at Alamdar Guest House and had an amazing experience. The hosts were incredibly friendly making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The room itself was cosy and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed to feel comfortable during my stay. The homestay also provided rental bikes that I could use to explore the surrounding area. The homestay also organized a trip to explore some of the local attractions Shikara Ride in Dal lake Srinagar , charges were bargainable .The guide was able to share interesting insights about the history and culture of the area, making for a truly memorable experience Overall, I would highly recommend Alamdar Guest House to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay with great food, rental bikes, and guided trips. This was the second time we stayed in Alamdar guest house. Its a very budget friendly homestay in Srinagar, so quiet and homely feel. The Dal lake is a 10 mins walk from guest house, Mr Sahil bhai who is the owner is a good friend and helped us in many ways to reach places in Kashmir. His father himself taken us to Dal Lake's famous Floating Market on a Shikara at 5AM to witness the sunrise in Dal Lake and he was so caring. Sahil bhai recommended few offbeat locations in Kashmir which are not crowded, helped us rent out motorcycles. He is true good friend who guides people like us unaware of Kashmir. If anyone who is planning for Kashmir.... Stay in Alamdar you will be thankful..
