Alagoa Resort - Resort hotel in Betalbatim - South Goa, India

Had a 2 nights stay with friends. It was a good experience. We were 3 guys in a room so extra bedding and blanket provided were not the same as that on the bed. They have a swimming pool from 7am to 7 pm with beach loungers alongside. They have a restaurant with live music with good options on Veg and Non-veg.

The hotel is about half a kilometre inside from the nearest main road. Rooms in the building are a bit old but are decent. The cottages are good. Room service is good. You can get a cab contact from the reception. The restaurant is expensive and the food is not up to the mark. The breakfast provided is good.

It's a good place to stay. If you book well in advance you get good deals. On the spot booking may make the rooms a bit higher priced. They come with all amenities and you have to pay in order to use them. The restaurant has a good collection of various food items and I recommend the authentic Goan food. Wednesday nights are live music, which really makes it fun.

It is actually a good resort in budget for classic rooms. The location is very good and peaceful. In between the fields and all. The staff and the people at the restaurant are very nice. Can't say that they serve the best food, but they definitely serve it with great hospitality and warmth. People who are not blind behind luxury and want to have a peaceful stay by the nature can surely go for this. No complaints.

Old building, no lifts...Need to always claim stairs for 2 floors. Food is good but food service is bad as they delay the food delivery badly and change orders from others also. Room service is best. 10% extra cost for room delivery for foods. If you planning to stay just stay and ask for ground floor rooms and eat outside then you have a peaceful and happy trip...

The cottages, amenities, pool and restaurant were amazing. Service was good, just a bit time consuming but the staff were polite. If you are a solo traveller it would be a hustle for you. Perfect for couples and families. The food was what I loved the most.

This resort is one of the paradise of South Goa located just 500 mts from the beach. Rooms are nicely maintained and spacious with good ambience and surrounding. Food at restaurant are really great and few menu items like : cheese balls, chicken tandoori, chicken caesar salad are amazing and the taste of sizzling brownie was out of this world as brownie was so fresh that it was melting in my mouth. The swimming pool is also well maintained and is really spacious to let someone enjoy family time. Sacks on the edge of the swimming pool are great relaxing and photo place. Since restaurant is just next to the pool so we have ordered tea and light snacks whole on pool and they served on the sack itself which was really nice experience. However it comes to hotel staff who handles checkout and checkin we had horrible experience as no one was there to pick the luggage even after followup. We have requested for room cleaning and dental kit and after 2-3 chaser room was cleaning but then dental kit was still not with till the checkout ( as after that anyways we did not required it)

Regrettably, my experience was far from the rejuvenating escape I had anticipated. One of the glaring issues was the evident lack of cleanliness on the resort's premises. Garbage scattered in certain areas detracted from the otherwise picturesque surroundings, significantly diminishing the overall appeal of the environment. It was disheartening to witness a disregard for basic cleanliness standards. Furthermore, the very purpose of my stay--to find respite from Delhi's pollution--was thwarted as smoke infiltrated my room, creating an unpleasant atmosphere that defeated the purpose of booking the Echo Hut. The room, which should have been a sanctuary, became an unwelcome reminder of the very pollution I sought to escape. The breakfast experience added to the disappointment. The offerings were limited to a single variety, and the taste left much to be desired. The lack of variety and the poor quality of the food served only served to amplify my discontent. A satisfying breakfast is a crucial element of any stay, and the monotony of options coupled with an unpalatable taste significantly detracted from the overall experience. To compound matters, the service throughout my stay was lackluster. From indifferent staff to delayed responses, the hospitality fell short of expectations. The combination of subpar food and poor service further marred what was supposed to be a rejuvenating retreat. In conclusion, my stay at this hotel from November 23rd to 25th was unfortunately marked by disappointment. The unclean surroundings, smoke-filled room, lackluster breakfast, and substandard service collectively overshadowed any potential positives. It is my hope that these issues are addressed promptly to ensure a more pleasant experience for future guests seeking refuge from the hustle and bustle of city life.
