AL SAJ KITCHEN - Restaurant in Aluva - Ernakulam, India

I do not give low rating to most of the places. But this place is just over hyped. The food is good for nothing. The waiters are non malayalam and non English understanding folks. Not sure how to communicate with them. The atmosphere is okay. But still I can't give them more than 1 star. I choose this restaurant after seeing so many YouTube videos and Insta reels. But in reality this place sucks.

We went to this restaurant for Lunch. It was moderately crowded even at 3 PM. We ordered chatti choru & biriyani. Both items were good. Service is not up to the standards. They have good seating arrangements to accommodate good crowd.

This place has an amazing view of the river and very good food. Bellari beef mandhi was very good along with the tomato gravy and Mayo even though the masala had a tomato sauce flavour to it. The quantity was also very good. One quarter mandhi is enough for 2 people. Kalyana choru was also good. Tawa Octopus was not that great. But the attitude of the waiter was very bad. He was rude and very demanding.

The noise level was high and it was difficult to hear my dining partners. It was also challenging to navigate through the crowd to get to our table. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for its delicious food, friendly staff but not the place for who loves to have a quite peaceful dining atmosphere."

More than the food and service of the restaurant, the atmosphere is the first thing that impressed me. The place was very much crowded because of the quality of food and services. It took us a little time to get seated, but the time we waited was never boring. There occurred a melody musical show for the customers for enjoy their food. The price was reasonable and food worth it. I just loved the place.

I knew this place from a friend, as she said their food was famous for its tastiness. So I was so excited to try it. And yes, I sat there with a happy face, enjoying the food! It was delicious. Some mixed seafood, and some other stuff. The name was Chatti Choru. The only thing that I didn't like was that the place was extremely full. So we had to wait to get seated. As a pretty slow eater, I was a bit pushed (by myself) to eat as fast as I could. Since I can see people waiting to get seats, probably the restaurant was the best one in town. With that generous amount of food, it was really worth the money, and it was seriously tasty. There was a beautiful river next to it, the Periyar River, so you can satisfy your eyes before you satisfy your stomach fa(deg_ deg)fo The owner of the restaurant was very friendly as well. All in all, it was a very good experience to be there

After having heard of the famous chatti choru from Al Sai finally had the opportunity to try it. Got here just around lunch time and the place was pretty packed. Ordered the mixed chattinchoru and I was not disappointed. It provided a good mix of non veg curries including fish options.Definitely worth a try!

They've got a large dining space with great ambience. Tried their famous chattichoru and it was really good. Rates are on the higher side. Service could be improved.
