Al Gulzar Restaurant - Mughlai restaurant in New Delhi, Delhi - Central, India

The food is delicious. Specially Mutton Korma and Biryani. I am a bread lover and Butter Nan is just too too yummy yummy ... And also the staff is good specially the captain ... Very happy and glad

Strange place. Probably good - food looks fine - but badly managed. Too many staff and little management. I ordered 4 times but nothing happened. I then left. The manager feebly apologized. Peculiar.

Let's start with the service, it was too poor as they don't know the serving rules. Then the food, I am a fan of dal makhani but IDK what they prepared yesterday as the taste wasn't good. We have ordered 6 rumali roti with that but were only able to finish 1 and half of it. It wasn't a good experience as the workers were in such a rush. If you are running out of time then please don't take the orders. The cost of food was ok but ain't worth it. Well your sorry wouldn't bring the time and money we have spent there. Please improvise your words by saying that you will keep this in your mind and will not let this happen next time or you guys gonna take care of it. What will I do with your sorry. Many of the users don't post their experience but you should take care of it.

Taste At It's Best. Ambience and atmosphere is damn good. Quick service. Best Place for non veg lovers.

First look, as you reach the restaurant and look at the restaurant from outside you can see both the floors as it has glass at the front and fully lit ambience inside. On ground floor you will find small sitting area in comparison to the first floor. There is a female washroom too at ground floor near washbasin and behind the counter. As you reach on first floor, you will find a huge sitting area. Separate are for family or large gathering. Restroom facility for male/female both. Washbasin for handwash. Manager and staff are cooperative. We usually visit 4 friends and out of two are veg. But they are fond of veg. options they get here, Dala Makhani & Paneer. Both are yummy. And ver tried chicken Biryani, chicken korma, naan, rumali, khamiri roti, everything is upto the mark and we enjoyed each time we visited there. Our average bill is around 300 per person. Location: jama masjid metro station is just at a walking distance from the restaurant and it's located near Qureshi, famous for its kababs. Hope you will enjoy your food at this restaurant.

Food served was bad .smelling rotten .very bad experience. Staff very bad and arguing about food. We left food there and paid them bills

This might sound a lill off grid, but to me purali Dilli "Khan khana Gali" seems over hyped place. So far I have visited more than half a dozen places, none of them tasted as good as their fame in the market. Nonetheless, Food was good but not something for which I would put effort of facing such over crowded street again, looter parking charges (Rs200 to park for an hour in night, closer to this restaurant). Kadhai chicken and Khamiri roti was good. Tried chicken Biryani - above average taste but not worth the price. Overall a not so happy face.

I've been to Al Gulzar many times before and my experience was always ok. But i guess a recent visit opened my eyes to the rudeness and arrogance of the staff here. If you're a large group, they will be attentive to you. But I've you're only 2 people the whole experience is different, the waiter refused to take our order until we sat at the table which he wanted us to. The air conditioning was only on in selected places and we wanted to sit where it was bearable and not super hot. But the waiter forced us to sit in the middle where it was hot by telling us bluntly that he wouldn't take our order. At the price they are charging which is more than all other restaurants around they should atleast keep the AC on everywhere.
