Had lunch today. Very busy restaurant. Waited for 15 mins.
Had chicken kuthhu parota ,
Malabar parota and fish curry....nice.
Had Appam also ...it's more like dosa than appam.,nor recommend.
Payasam is also nice made with jaggery.
Prices are very reasonable.
It's a old place in Hyderabad which has very yummy kerala dishes! They have very close taste to the authentic kerala food! Both veg and non veg are delicious!
They've got some really nice seafood options, primarily Kerala cuisine.
We had their King Fish Roast with an additional curry on top of it, and it was very nice with few bones. Would definitely recommend it.
Please ask them what is their special/fresh fish that day and take that.
We also had their Chicken fry which also had nice Desi spicy flavours unlike many restaurants.
Non vegetarian food tastes better than th me vegetarian.
Prawn Biryani and parotta with mutton curry were highlights
Good Keralian Restaurant. Located near Panjagutta Metro Station. Best dishes are chicken kuththu paratha, malabar paratha and fish fry. These dishes should be tasted atleast once. You will find varieties of fish fry dishes on shelf, and can choose from them. Akson Restaurant is on the 1st floor, ground floor is occupied by Manyavar.
Just one thing, try to avoid visiting here on weekends. It's overcrowded on weekends. You might have to wait for 30 to 60 mins to have a seat. Seating capacity is lesser than required.
I love this restaurant so much due to its unique taste and good ambience . Parotta, sarbhat unique south Indian foods available here. Recommended for Tamilnadu and kerala people
The atmosphere is very nice and photogenic. According to the quantity prices are reasonable. Service is good. A great place for those who love Kerala foods.
Had a great lunch here at Akson. The quality of the food is good. We had meals with fish fries, kappa with mutton curry, sharjah shake and lime juice. The meal was served in a large platter. The curries and rice is unlimited, however the rice quantity served is more than sufficient for one person. The rice is accompanied by sambar, dal, rasam, moru curry, one thoran, curd and payasam. One downside is they have a lot of curries but only one thoran, which could be made two. We also get pickles and injipuli. We felt the injipuli to be slightly on the sweeter side than the usual. Kappa and mutton curry is worth the mention. The kappa masala was fantastic, the mutton curry has a coconut base which was absolutely phenomenal. The spice level was on point. We ordered one natholi fry and one chemballi, both were fried to perfection. The masala was just perfect and wasn't over powering. Sharjah shake was a let down, the banana taste was overpowering and couldn't taste the boost. Lime juice was good. The overall prices are reasonable. Fish fries for the day is displayed where we could choose to our liking. The restaurant is pretty much occupied during lunch hours. They need to pay attention to the wash area, it gets quite dirty pretty fast during rush hours. Overall a very satisfying experience and would recommend a visit.
