Good mess for vegetarian food. It serves malnad style tasty foods. The options are comparatively less but the taste is very good. The food is served on banana leaf which adds more taste to it. The waiting time is very less.

Akshaya mess is the best sathvic brahmin food (home style) one can get in Sringeri. It is very close to temple gopuram. Next Bhagyalakshmi stores. Tasty food, no excessive masala or oil. One must visit if you visit Sringeri. They also sell home made appalams, chips, sambar, rasam powder, pickles etc.This is very authentic place for brahmin food. If you are looking for plateful of cups and items that you would never able to cherish or finish, then, this is not a place for you. This is truly tastefully prepared home food and if you are with aged family members, please do visit.
Delicious South Indian meals! It is a homely place on Bharathi street and delicious rice meals are served on Banana leaf. Unlimited rice meals are available at Rs. 70. Serving contains Rice, Sambar/ Rassam/ Butter milk, beet salad, papad and payasam. Must visit restaurant in Shringeri.
