The theme for this year's Pujo was ' Moshlar Kahini ' or the story of spices. How the spices got spread into the world through Vasco Da Gama and how we bengalis use spices. The idol was also very nice. The decorations for this pandal was also pretty good and a nice sense of art was applied. I liked this one very much.
Innovative theme, displaying the interiors of a ship. And beautiful display of spices all around the pandal. The idol is exquisite as usual.
Tge organizers are very efficient in crowd management. The pandal was unique, and the durga idol is a piece of art, i would say. Apart from this, there were plenty of street food options available. I even purchased some terracotta pieces from a street vendor at a very attractive price. I have enjoyed visiting the puja.
This is AK Block Park area. This is small sized park, yet having Football Goal Post. Place is good, enjoyable before monsoon. However, during monsoon hardly there is anytime you will find it without water logging and water leakage from Waterline near one corner. Secondly, One area is segregated for workouts and outdoor activities, covered by metal screens. However, this part is worse. No maintenance, no repairing, no cleaning on the surface, empty leg walking strictly prohibited. Suggestion- 1.Area between walking track and the boundary walls can be maintained well, flowers and creepers can be planted, greenery can be added. 2.Outdoor activity area can be improved far more, maintenance of available equipments is must. Some simple equipments can be added as well like *Pull up and Shoulder push up bars, Crunches benches*. 3.Water logging at the corner must be addressed so that joggers can walk a full round of the park.
The theme is unique, presentation is very good, every one should watch the puja pandal.
