Ajodhya Guest House - Hotel in Baghmundi - Purulia, India

The stay was comfortable, rooms were cozy and clean. The food was delicious and the terrace beautiful. The warmth and care that the hotel staff showed us made our trip even more special.

Highly recommend place if you are looking for a budget stay nearby Ayodhya range. Food quality quantity both are exceptionally good. Rooms are enough spacious & comfortable. The guest house is located nearby a market area but not far from the greeny hills & falls. There's a cosy terrace area in the guest house where you and your family/friends can hangout with some barbeque in your plate. For sure this place will help you make your trip more memorable.

Best guest house if you are planning to go to Ajodhya Hills. Everything is just great starting from welcoming guests, the services provided, the food quality, promt service request response, cleanliness, staff behaviour. I definitely recommend this place if you are planning for a solo or for a family trip.

This is definitely among the best in that area. Location: It is located in a village just about 1 km away from Turga Dam. You may just wake up early in the morning and casually walk through the village upto the dam. You may also check Ghagkocha waterfall which is just about 500-600 meters away from the dam. Basically you walk straight up to a point where you turn left to find find the dam or you go straight a little further and then turn right to find the waterfall on your left side within the forest. At that point where the road diverges on the two sides, you will also be standing right in front of the hills, which you can also see from the rooftop dining place of the guest house. It feels really nice to walk up to this point just beyond the village in the pleasant weather of the early morning. If you notice, you will also see quite a few birds in this area which you don't get to see everyday in your city, like Indian Robins, Black-winged Kites, Brahminy Starlings, and if you are lucky enough, maybe even Rock Eagle Owls. You may spend a couple of hours there, roaming around and seeing things, and then return to the guest house for your breakfast. After your breakfast, you may go out in a car for sightseeing: all of the well-known locations on the Ayodhya side of Purulia can be easily covered in a day or two from the location of the guest house. The Guest House: the guest house has AC rooms which are well-furnished and clean; every room has an attached clean bathroom. There's at least one big room for five guests. There's also a small open common area on the backside where you may hangout with your friends and family till midnight and still feel very safe as the place is entirely covered by high walls: so you feel the real ground and the real grass under your feet, you breathe in the fresh air, you see the sky and the trees above you, you feel the real elements of the Purulia evenings, and yet you feel entirely safe within those high walls. There's also an option for you to chill out on the rooftop with the barbecue in the evening; however, if it's too cold outside, you may still have a nice time in the dining area on the rooftop. Food: whether it's the veg thali or the chicken, whether it's the morning tea or the luchi in the breakfast, whether it's the same tea in the evening or the chicken pakoras, the taste, in my experience, was quite good. Conclusion: we went there in a group of nine people and booked one big room for five and two double rooms, stayed and ate there for a couple of days, and had great experience.
