Great weekend retreat! We didn't plan for forest day. It was just one day ride. Clean air and amazing view. Definitely you would shed all burdens and will feel light. Driving through forest road make us feel like we are going a safari. Next time will be planning for trekking.

Nice view and well maintained park. But we were not allowed to walk around because they said there was an elephant walking around in the morning. Also it took an hour until they were ok with us going in by car. They said only locals are allowed to drive inside. The staff was friendly but they didn't understand us very well.

Aiyur forest is still in nascent phase of tourism and everything is run by Forest department. Its just few hours of drive from Bangalore and one of the most cheapest weekend getaway spot. I visited here in 2nd week of Dec'21 and stayed in a watch tower (pic added) in the middle of forest. You can carry BBQ/grill and cook outside the room to get the best feel and get together with friends. There are other rest houses maintained by forest dept and food is available (cooked by forest dept and for special menu, you should bring ingredients along). Apart from trekking there is no other adventure activity but you can explore nature and anywhere you can stop to catch some exotic birds. Best itinerary would be to leave from Bangalore on Sat early morning ->explore Aiyur for the whole day -> stay in watch tower (can be booked online) -> Head to Biligundulu (boating if possible) -> Hogenakkal falls

Good place. Had zipline in offer, but we couldn't try. Not that many activities and places, but if you want to enjoy nature, you can go there. It has zipline on offer.

Amazing trekking experience felt completely safe n secure..entire trek was escorted by forest rangers ... The food & other arrangements were well organised. Recommended to join this trek with a team.. #cauvery_North_wild_life_sanctuary

Best place for Landscape lovers.

Peaceful eco park. You need to start in the morning, so that you can visit nearby view point which are inside the forest and can see elephant and deer. You can go to Dharmapuri through this forest area.

Wonderful place to visit and spend quality time with a family....Cottages are available to stay in the forest, price starts from 400 to 1100 per head for 24 hours. It is under forest department control so 100% safe. The forest officers are so nice and kind. They will treat you as a guest. Trekking available, pre-booking is compulsory... Experienced cook will prepare tasty food for you based on your wish all times but you will need to buy things for your menu. Good air, good water, peaceful environment, birds sound, full of trees, awesome lakes, silent villages and so on....
