The food is good but not as hyped and expensive. The ambiance is good under shady trees. So it looks like the amount we pay is more for the ambiance than the food. This place could be suggested for people who care for the ambiance and spend time with family and friends for catch-ups.

A taste of Old Bangalore. Good South Indian fare. Also, North Indian fast food With an ice cream parlor, and Lassi shop on premises. This place has survived the growth of Bangalore and maintains its old-world charm. Very reasonably priced.

The food is really good, delicious and quickly served, and the ambience under the huge shady trees is the very best, just love this iconic place for that. Snacks, thindis, chats, all feel all the more tasty when served under a Banyan tree! Plenty of indoor parking, though not free. One of the very hotels in Central business district that have their own outdoor parking. But a few things can be better - the seating is very uncomfortable. The tables are too high for the short chairs, even for a person of tall build the table is higher than the chest level which is very uncomfortable. Food so good deserves more classy seating. Also the attitude of some of the waiters is rather unfriendly. You get treated like you're a disturbance in their work.

The food is amazing. The service a d location is amazing too - especially given the price they offer the food at. The seating is open, surrounded by trees which cuts you from the hustle and bustle of the city, even if briefly. It is clean and the food is delivered in no time. Especially loved a really old uncle waitering there - what an inspiration to be working like him at that age.

Best location. Avoid going in weekends as cubbon park will have one or the other marathons in weekends and all will rush to this hotel. Especially if you go by your own 2 or 4 wheeler, just don't go on weekends. Parking itself takes 15min atleast. Also, avoid visiting post 9AM. Food is decent. Idly vada was okish. Masala dosa was good. Poori was good. We ordered Besan sweet. It was awesome. You'll get table soon if you are lucky and visit before 9am. If not, waiting is mandatory. It's located at a key area. The food is good. A wordnof caution...please order only dosa items and other fast moving items. If you order things like ragi roti and similar things be ready to wait for at least 30 mins. Earlier they had only local people waiting on table who understood the local food well..these days they have non local people who do not understand the food they are serving..that's something the restaurant management needs to work upon.

Worse place to go for food as it was not so fresh and service is very bad. They just dip fingers into glass when getting you fresh water to drink, better ask for a bottle instead and I tried idli, which also had hair in it. It's an open place hence even if some leaves fall into your food, you can't question any! Not so good for food but for evening coffee it's better.

Too much hype. Absolutely abysmal experience. Average food, and they don't even use pure ghee or butter, they are using some hydrogenated oil/fat. Spoons , glasses and utensils were not cleaned properly and they have the audacity to charge 100-120 bucks for a dose. Won't recommend this to anyone. Even a local roadside darshini serves better food than these guys. The only saving grace here is the location and the service which were both great.
