AIRA Residency - Hotel in Arakkambai Village - The Nilgiris, India

It's an Absolute pleasure and exercise stay we had, the Rooms and all quite spacious and we also had a good breakfast the caretaker was really humble towards us, they also showed us the nearest places to visit on our stay, and made the day as memorable, more than a guest the owner treated us like a family, also the view from the property was really amazing.. we also expect to visit again. And looking forward the same Hospitality, and we also recommend those who wanna experience the nature and silence, and the birds sings and air sound such a peaceful stay, surely will enjoy the stay..

I had visited with my family, and I enjoyed a lot, such a good experience I had, the owner was such a humble and polite gentleman who always available for us, the caretaker at the property was really soo kind towards us, they fulfilled all our needs, the breakfast was really good and we had lot of things and places to visit and see in Kotagiri, I really want to suggest to everyone atleast once you should visit and experience the place. Hello all... treat this as an unbiased review and useful for anyone who expects a decent stay and stressfree vacation/holidays. First of all , I am not sure how this property got such high reviews ( I am also a prey and fall into the trap by looking at the google reviews)..! Only one positive side about this property is the room size - it is good sized rooms. I have booked this property for my family get-together which includes my siblings who all are older than 55+ years. Booking was done by seeing photos and the google reviews. Cons : 1. You cant expect any hospitality or service during your stay ! There are 2 malayali staff or so called 'care takers ' without any care about the guests/customers. They are with very high attitude (especially the guy managing the reception). 2. If you have any luggage and your rooms are down , never ever go here ! You will die by climbing the steps and the staff here will just look at your struggle and will never give any helping hands ! My entire family members were struggled due to this. 3. If you came here for some function / gathering , be prepared to face the sarcastic laugh, smile , facial expressions from the staff during your gathering ! The staff doesnt even know the basics of hospitality ! 4. Due to 'N' number of service issues , I wanted to talk to the owner to let him know the bad experience - however , after calling him ,understood that , its not staff problem ; rather it is passed to them by the property owner ! Do not expect he will solve any of your problem other than arguing and justifying the situation ! 5. The caretakers will not keep water bottles in room unless you tell them repeatedly ! They manage to have a feel good factor for the room just by applying some good fragrance - thats all ! 6. Most importantly - book here , if you want to do a 'mud bath' !!!! Water in bathrooms are with thick mud and they tactfully used mud coloured bucket , mugs and towel to cover this up ! ( you can see that in the attached photos) To me , the get-together planned along with my siblings were royally screwed up due to highly unprofessional staffs and inhygienic environment ! NOW CHOICE IS YOURS !!!!! :-)

Wonderful location, comfortable stay with very tasty and hygienic inhouse food. Special thanks to Sanjeev ( the manager) for his hospitality. We travelled along with extended family and rented the whole property.

Awesome stay experience.... Great food... Good hospitality and ready to serve staff's... they arranged a bonfire for our group. Very spacious rooms and clean washrooms. Good parking space.

The place is awesome and perfectly located. Couldn't have a better experience than this. Staffs were so great with always a warm welcome very cooperative. Property has every single stuffs in place never had to ask anything more. Would love to go back again.

Horrendous experience. Most unprofessional and uncooperative staff I ve ever met. Not even drinking water provided. No new towels or bed sheets available. Food is highly expensive and below par. Apart from the rooms which were spacious, nothing positive to comment. Better avoid.

True sample of excellent hospitality. When myself and my family arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. They have 42 inch 4k TV. We were viewing our photos in the 4k TV, which were taken during the sight seeing. Hill view from the balcony is exotic. Camp fire were arranged, We were totally enjoyed the stay in AIRA.
