Ahar cenotaphs/ Maha Satya - Archaeological site in Udaipur - Udaipur, India

The Ahar Cenotaphs are a group of cenotaphs located around 2-3km away from main city of Udaipur. The place contains more than 250 cenotaphs of the Maharanas of Mewar. This place is not maintained by the Government. It is not that famous tourism spot in Udaipur. There was no other tourists. There are beautiful small temples with traditional Rajasthani domes and a very traditional designed pool. The temples are curated and curved with intricate and artistic designs. There are no entry fees but we gave the guard some money as he explained us the details. A must visit place and should be promoted as a Tourist destination. As a visitor, it's our responsibility to keep the surrounding clean and garbage free.

Very beautiful and unknown attraction in udaipur. It is totally worth it, really stunning! The place looks close but there is a guard that will open to you if you ask him, and then you will have to give him 100 rupees.

But this place literally amazed us in Udaipur by unique structures of each and every architectural works and it's very less visitors and crowds. Wonderful remians of archeological importance, but you can't take your mobile or camera with you, that's a big negative for me. I took all the photographs from outside.

Awesome site of udaipur lesser known site royal Cenotaphs are within 20 minutes drive from city centre

Peaceful place with a lot of history and architectural landmark.Away from the old city of udaipur.not much people visit here.but its a must visit if you are an explorer.you can spend a good 30mins to 1hour here exploring the history of this place.if you can crack some angles then you might also get some great photographs here.free to visit right now,may change later.
