Poor diagnosis by qualified doctors. Such institutions should be shut down immediately. Unnecessarily creating panic to the patients that too by so called over qualified doctors. Wish there was something lesser than 1 star that can be given as a rating. Pls stay away from this place.

Don't opt for this hospitals services. They are just money minded hypocrites with zero concern for or practice of medical ethics and morality. Just a day befor my father's cataract eye operation they demanded Rs. 30000 more than the termed and decided cost. Apparantly we decide to cancel the procedure as we lost the trust but we they they were informed of our intentions they immediately agreed to do the procedure at the agreed amount. But on the day of operation they cancelled the procedure after making us wait there for 2 hours citing filmsy reasons of low pressure and risk factor. Please go to some other eye hospital who may at least tell you everything regarding cost and will not try to extract money fro you at the last moments. I wil do my best to circulated and spread this act of cheating by this hosital to everyone i know.

AHALYA EYE FOUNDATION, KANNUR Unethical, money hoodwinkers, untrustworthy My friends father who is 73 years old had scheduled a cataract operation on his right eye on 04/08/23. The night before the surgery these people contacted him and demanded Rs 30000 more than what was agreed upon . My friends family smelled foul and decided to cancel the whole arrangement with this hospital has they lost the trust. But within a minute of informing them of my friends decision to pull out , the hospital called back and agreed to do the procedure within the agreed amount. The day of the surgery on 4/8/2023 my friend with his father went there with the hope that all is fine and he will get his cataract surgery done. But after making them wait for nearly 3 hours and long wait in the op for the doctor, the doctors and staff informed them that his pulse is low and they are unable to perform the surgery. My friend has done all the necessary test and obtained go ahead and approval of cardio doctors before the due date and submitted document to the Ahalya eye hospital. His father had undergone angioplasty 8 years ago and was under cardio medication ever since. He did his cataract eye surgery on his left eye from MIMS CALICUT, a year ago under excellent doctor and faculty and had a smooth and profounding experience. Even then he was on cardio medication and pulse were of same as it is now. My friend and his 73 year old father has been harrassed and put to suffer because of there refusal to give more money. He beg to all you good folks if you have some one who is in need for a surgery or any eye related matter please avoid AHALYA EYE Foundation, KANNUR. Please opt for any other good hospital or clinic as there is no dearth of eye facilities in Kannur. I am common man, I have no malafide or rival intention. This is to spread the extortion means and lack of morality and ethics in some institution whose job is to give care and protection to human life's.

The staff at Ahalia Foundation eye hospital are polite and professional. I had gone there earlier to buy spectacles. The price was reasonable. On 16 Apr 23, I had gone there for my mother's consultation. There was no delay and the doctor attended to us promptly. All in all , a very pleasant experience.

No advance appointment at Kannur hospital, had to wait for1hr 46mts to see the Dr. Visual field testing(charge1000 inr)was a horrible experience due to lack of height adjustable chair.

My dad got his cataract operation from here. He had very good experience. According to him all staffs including the security, nurses, doctors all had very welcoming behaviour. And I got very speedy response from the insurance team for getting the documents required for medical insurance reimbursement.

The hospital is very neat and clean. The Staff are very polite. Also, the Optical Shop has different collections of frames. But only a few car parking spaces are available in front of the premises.
