AGRA HOTEL - Hotel in Mathura - Mathura, India

You get what you pay for, it is on the cheaper end. The location is really good for Holi activities (right by the ghats, close walk to temples). However the room is quite dirty including the sheets and pillows. I had to wear a mosquito net at night. The washroom was also not very clean.

Great value for your money! The hotel is a traditional house with rooms around two inner courtyards. They are basic, but very clean. The toilets are Indian style, with very clean marble. The sheets are clean, but worn to rags. The position in front of the river couldn't be better, and the staff is very helpful.

The very strong smell in the room of sewage made me sick. My husband asked for food and he got diarrhoea afterwards. The sheets were cleaned at least. They're nice but I wouldn't come back.

Very poor ambience and unclean. The staff members are not that cooperative. Though the hotel allowed us to late night check in, we had to fight for getting right room. Not worth paying what we paid for the room- 1000 per room if I remember rightly. Not recommended for either family and group travellers. It's old building, just remodelled from outside. The road to the hotel is narrow and crowded. If someone book this hotel to get the experience of old Mathura, you are cheated both by the hotel and the location. It is located just close to Yamuna river ghat. Booked this hotel thinking about river ghat. Even the ghat area is also unclean and unhygienic. Yamuna water is also so dirty. Morning view in the ghat after boats arrive looks good. Not even worth one star.

Very hospitable staff. Enjoyed food from small menu. Aircon broke so we were offered a new room for the night. Basic rooms. Great location. Has some rooms overlooking river.

Hotel Agra is bang on Yamuna River at Bengali Ghat. Also very near, I can say 5 mins walk from vishram ghat... You have easy access to railway station, yamuna river, Holi celebration and all temples... The hotel staff is decent and you can expect guests from across globe during Holi. I stayed here for 2017 Holi and was very happy to choose this place for reasons mentioned above. The pricing is also not that costly however during Holi the cost is at premium compared to its rooms, still you would be ok considering its location. Hotel Agra will always be my first place to be in Mathura for Holi plans... Hope you would experience the same thing when you be there... Enjoy... Keep Travelling Cheers!!! Karan

The best hotel in Mathura to live near the ghats. Price is affordable for AC rooms and you will get good services. Staffs are very polite and they will arrange everything for you. Highly recommend.
