I would prefer not to go there again. I had Thattu Idly, but it didn't taste good. The idly lacked softness, and the spicy podi, which should ideally be the highlight of Thattu Idly, was also disappointing.
If it weren't for the poor service, I might have considered giving it another chance. However, the service provided here was absolutely terrible. I wouldn't recommend anyone to try this place and end up feeling disappointed by the service.
The cashier/manager at the counter was extremely arrogant. There was no sense of hospitality, no smile on his face, and he spoke in a rough tone that didn't encourage customers to order anything else. He even shouted at the waiters, creating a chaotic and unpleasant atmosphere for the customers.
The ambiance was nothing special; it was just a regular, small eatery.

The idlies were soft and delicious... Good place to have good idily near madhanandhapuram, small restaurant .
no place to park your car , little bit expensive than the regular restaurants but worth trying idily here . Quick service , neat and clean.
Parathas wasn't good I don't recommend northindian food in this restaurant.
We ordered food to eat but he didn't given food for us instead giving to person after we came.. Respecting only rich customers.. he given back money when we asked why food delay for us. Don't support this kind of business..
Dined in for dinner. Ordered their signature dish Thattu idly which comes with ghee podi topping by default. You must mention of you need plain idly. Chappati, Parotta and Dosa items are also available.
Very worst service. They didn't provide proper bill. The parcel charges has been charged for Rs. 20/-. But the parcel has not been packed properly. The quality of the food is not soo good while compare to other Adyar hotels. Parcel service is very very worst. Total waste in madhananpuram branch.
Small space with delicious food...they r providing kids specials here like choco dosa it's different and tasty too...we tried bahubali dosa this is also so tasty ....thattu idli s famous and everyone should try it out ..don't miss to try crisoy chilli parato, bahubali dosa, thattu idli
We like adyar vaishnavas thattu idli kadai primarily for its trademark thattu idli... which is as huge as kal dosa in the shape of idli... very authentic... their menu is very simple and crisp... our children like the idli and the paneer masala dosa and corn cheese dosa... other than that the goli soda which is also popular amongst the children... slightly cramped place for dining and parking is just not possible for four wheelers as the shop lies right on the busy congested madanadapuram road.. we usually do take away... they are quick enough to get the orders ready... you will enjoy the food...and remind you, it's self service ... we would not hesitate to recommend this place..
Worst behaviour in billing counter. Once the cash received they didn't provide bill. Parcel charges is very high at the same time the parcel is not proper. Then very very very worst restaurant should not come...... Totally ur valuable money worst in restaurant...
