Adyar Ananda Bhavan - A2B - Vegetarian restaurant in Chennai - Chennai, India

Located close to our place of stay ,ideal place to have pure vegetarian lunch,breakfast or dinner. Different varieties of food available such as dosa,idli, meals,Chinese, rotis etc. Special mention to the sides such as chutney and sambhar which was really tasty..Tried the ghee roast, podi dosa, veg fried rice, meals, chappathi, also the North Indian chaat specialities- bhel puri and dahi Puri. Each were really good. The service is fast too. Their rawa kesari was one of my favourites. Just down the snacks,sweets counter is present with different varieties of the same. Located close to main road,it is easily accessible. But there is limited parking.

The food was very tasty. Ordered the mix platter as well as delicious samosas and yummy butter naan bread. Unfortunately communication seems to be difficult with the staff, which I thought was due to me being foreigner, but came to found out even locals had a hard time getting their orders correctly taken. No takeaways, which was a big disappointment.

Though Thali is not mentioned in the Menu Booklet, You can ask them about thali, Taste is completely Authentic, Extra Rice Bowl is also provided with it, It costed me around 170Rs Including Taxes

It's very big and it accommodate more then 80 people. Service is fine but as quick we expect. Good parking facilities. Ground floor has snacks which is dine and take away. Frist floor has the food service. Meals and mini meals available. Variety rise is also there. They provide soup and lazzi too. Ambience is very good and more space to have comfortable dining. Take away is there. Usually weekend is very crowded. It's big in triplicane. After going to beach you can dine for food.

Being a Hyderabadi I wanna taste Chennai's sambar and other tiffins. I visited this place on an evening, when I tried Masala Dosa and Ghee Pongal. The taste of those two items was speechless. Sambar is as classic as they say in movies. I really want to appreciate the taste here, which had filled my heart. I visited Chennai as part of the flight catch-up. However, I carried the memories Marina Beach along with the A2B's delicious cuisine. Such a mind blowing taste it was. A must visit for all veggie fans out there like me!

One of the outlets of A2B which serves better food when compared to most of the A2B... We tried only a few items and they were good in taste !!! Cost wise little high as usual for this kind. Overall you can try here if you want vegetarian in and around triplicane

One of the best Ghee roast available in Chennai. I have tried other A2B shops as well, but this one is the best for the taste. (Eventhough the cost is on the higher side the taste of the crispy ghee roast will make you happy)

Worst experience I had today with this branch. Ghee Roast Dosa was not good and service was too late due to lack of master inside for cook. Finally, I requested and they discounted the price of ghee roast food which was not good today and I'm happy with that service but it was not quiet good for all. Atmosphere was very nice and good ambience. Kindly fix the cook(master) soon to get good rating from customer like me. (Done believe this photo. For photo it was nice but worst in taste today. !) Better luck next time.
