Good place to visit with family and kids like picknik. After 4PM good time visit and spend time over there, Food you can carry from outside also, they have canteen also. Overall it's a good experience.
This zoo really needs a good uplift. There is just 4 tiger and 3 tiger to see in the safari. Think like the money you pay for safari is just like a charity to feed those 7 animals in your name. So be generous and take safari as a donation ride. The zoo cages have few few animals apart from birds. Many cages are empty. People come here as a picnic to spend time with kids in the park. Not a great attraction spot as a Zoo
Thyverekoppa lion and tiger safari and zoo..... It is located near Shimoga, Karnataka. From Shimoga city it is nearly 6 km towards sagar road... Here we enter first we pay entry and parking fee.. after that we will enter to a zoo.. in entrance of the zoo so many bird's are welcomes u the u enter to leopard zone in leopard zone center of attraction black cheetha, after that bear zone. Then you will see fox,snake zone. Etc. At last u enter aust austrich then.. playing area .. After zoo visit interested will go to safari with extra fee, the safari is available with bus and jeep with different rates... Once safari start the bus enter to safari park first deer are welcome then enter to a tiger zone two or three we see then enter to lion zone there also same 3 lions out side left of the lions are in locked in grilled area after watching lion area bus will come out...
150 rs for safari in bus which is absolutely more for how much they take you...zoo is good you can see animals closely.
Very good place for a picnic, the animals are well maintained and it's quite a big place. Hoping to see more anals which will be inherited from other zoo by this year. The safari was really good n we were able to see and take pics as the driver was very friendly and cooperative.
