Excellent place. Go in the evening to see the laser show also. Time given is 7.00 but starts around 7.20. Lasts 12-14 minutes. See from back to get the full picture but then the sound is a compromise. Wish they had more public utility facilities. Well maintained ones.
Beautiful Place to visit nearby Coimbatore. The place is free to visit and is 35 km from coimbatore main city. There are two parts to this place - one is the Adiyogi bust statue where the camera is allowed and is an open area. The other area is no camera zone where people have to deposit their belongings before entering the serpent door. The main highlight of the place is the Suryakund Dip, Dhyanlinga Meditation and Evening light show around 7 pm. Wonderful place to visit. Don't miss it!
Nice experience, well maintaining and clean even though lots of people visiting . Everyday laser show at 7 pm is a wonderful attraction. Cow shed and ride are highlighted. Government buses are available for public, but private vehicle is good for convenience .
Lovely place to visit. The place is beautiful and peaceful. The area is surrounded by trees which gives a lovely vibe. There is a small shivlinga before the Adiyogi statue. There are few food stalls where lunch, snacks and beverages are provided. The taste of food is good. A small stall is also there where you can purchase gifts. They have a paid parking area which is 30 Rs for car parking.
What an architectural masterpiece of 112 feet Adiyogi. A great place to spend peaceful time with your family or self. They have ample amount of car parking and they have electric buggies and Carts pulled by Bulls to transport from parking place to the statue. The overall experience was great and recommend it to all. There are lot of food stalls and the prices are very nominal and they charge only MRP and not over priced at all. It's a free entry monument.
With all due respect everyone has their own purpose and reason to go, for me it was to see the statue and that's all I did, never entered the foundation as I got my experience my expectations met when I saw the statue and the light and music show which is a must see, had the amazing experience and left, they have enough parking, show is for free, you have eateries and toilets when you reach the entrance area, a walk or bull cart ride can take you to the statue, show happens at 7pm daily
It's a mesmerizing place. Very beautiful weather. Adiyogi situated in middle of all hills. We are visit it 2 days. I suggest everyone to go the Adiyogi at evening and enjoy the light show.
With my friends I recently visited the Isha foundation center located in Coimbatore. I am not much of a Sadguru follower but I find many of his answers on complex issues convincing.Isha foundation is great, you can completely do what they preach. It's an old organization and is really reaching it's peak, and Sadhguru has given his lifetime for the organization. And no organization can survive long term, if it is fraudulent. You can completely do their courses, without any issue whatsoever. 100% genuine organization they are. I recently have developed interest in Yoga and I decided to visit the place. Few things about the place: Entrance gate: A huge stone is placed at the entrance on stone pillars. You can take your vehicle inside. Vehicle parking: You can park your vehicle in the parking lot near the Adiyogi statue. Parking fees is 30 rupees for 4 wheeler. Adiyogi Statue: You are allowed to take photograph at the Adiyogi statue. You may find someone taking rounds of the statue and going back and forth the Dyanalinga dome and chanting. They are the people who have volunteered to join the service and are undergoing joining process. From the statue you may take a Bullock cart to reach the main center or you may choose to walk. It is around 1 Km from the statue. This is the entrance to the main center. Your photography ends here and you are required to deposit you mobile, shoes etc. at the deposit station. There are no charges for it.
