The HSG reports appeared normal; however, the doctor recommended a hysteroscopy, insisting that it would enhance the chances of conception. Despite undergoing the hysteroscopy, there was no improvement in fertility. After several months, the doctor mentioned that the uterus size was enlarged, hindering conception, and suggested that IVF was the only viable option. If the bulky uterus was a concern, it would have been more appropriate for the doctor to communicate this before recommending the laparoscopy. This has resulted in both a financial and emotional investment, and unfortunately, my wife had to undergo an unnecessary surgery.
