It's a clean organized bunk bed hostel. Washrooms are clean and perfect if you want to spend the nights and roam around Shimla during the day. Note: it's walkable from the Tutikandi bus stand. However there is a proper gradual jungle path that leads you to the hotel. It's not suitable for aged people and unfit people. Washrooms are clean and maintained well. There is no food available inside the property. You can visit the market with is again some climb away. Overall a good budget place for backpackers.

If you reach after dark; it will be troublesome... If you take a cab; it will charge 300/-; the distance isn't that much, but choose safety and convenience !! The incharges of this place had no idea how to guide properly even when I clearly told them where I was... Ultimately, they led me to a very problematic dark way which was extremely risky as one could not only get hit by a vehicle on the steap and narrow slope, but the guard at an army training centre nearby told me that drunkards roam around on that way after dark... people in general even at the bus stop, either had no idea about the stairs (they said they were not locals), or they didn't know how to guide... In the dark, it is difficult to find; some bus might also block the view.. PLEASE search for the STAIRS; not the ramp/slope...Hygiene wise, it was below average... I carry my own bedsheet, but the smell from blanket stayed on me... There are about 3 bathrooms and 3 toilets if I correctly remember... the water from the flush was falling on the backside (I am sure the person cleaning knows that)...the ONLY positive point is that it's affordable... they say there's a canteen that closes at 8 PM... but the canteen is actually not functioning... for food, you will have to go down to tutikandi, where there are some dhabas (don't expect hygiene)... perhaps one can eat at Mall Road and then come back...

Pros: 1) The hostel is just a 5 min climb from ISBT Shimla as there's a stairs shortcut right outside the bus stand. 2) Bunk beds were well maintained, offer decent privacy. They have their own lights, fans, a charging point, and good locker storage. Do note that only one of the two lockers comes with a key. 3) If you want to reach the city center, just climb to the upper main road and you'll find a local bus stop there. 4) The supervisor for the male floor was incredibly sweet and kind. Made the experience better. Cons: 1) If you have a lot of luggage or older in age, the climb (from both : ISBT to hostel or hostel to the upper main road) is steep. 2) While the staff does a great job of cleaning the bathroom consistently. They are used by a ton of people everyday, so if you're sensitive to cleanliness, it could be a little rough. Also, the jet sprays were terrible. They barely shoot any water.

Really good place for trekkers to spend a night. Budget freindly rooms for a night. Great location: 500m from tutikandi bustop and 1.9km from old shimla bus stop and mall road. View was amazing, surrounded by trees and safe place stay.

This is not a dormitory but a office halls with uncomfortable and cramped bunk beds which have peculiar smell from them and there is no ventilation so it feels like suffocation in the dorms. Plus they say that the location is on a walking distance but they don't mention the inclination of that road it is a steep slope towards main road which is the only way to connect with the city. They are charging at a price which is same to premium hostel services so unless you are in dire need of a bed or short on budget i wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Great place in terms of facilities yet i still think the charge is slightly high. Toilets not always clean. Talking about location its walkable distance from 103 bus stop as well as ISBT bus terminal, yet the shortest walking path involves high inclination sloppy path.

Will not recommend at all. Stay out of this hostel. Far from the main road. There was no water at night and the morning. The bed was dirty with leftover tissue from previous user. Dirty bathroom

Good not best ... Blanket cover smells Travel on stiff road for almost 10-15 min to reach 103 point to take public transport... Not easy task... Senior citizens please avoid....
