Indian breakfasts, freshly squeezed juices - delicious. Clean toilets. Our room was modest and windowless. The shower drain in the bathroom was getting clogged. Very low ceilings, not for tall people. Nice service. Brilliant location, right next to the Gateway of India and the Taj Mahal hotel. Good value for money for Mumbai.

My partner and I stayed here for two days at the end of October. We stayed in the 4th floor superior luxury room. The staff were really nice and helpful. We booked a massage. The blind gentleman that massaged me was excellent. He really eased the pain in my shoulder! I recommend booking a massage. The cafe was also very good. They let us stay in the hotel all day as we had a late flight. Thank you again! Dan and Sophie

Perfect location, in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Mumbai but still able to provide a getaway from the chaos. Very welcoming staff and amazing hospitality. The rooms were spacious, cozy and showed attention to details. The breakfast was a big plus. The selection of local breakfast dishes was incredibly delicious and really tasted like home food. Also the fruits and classic options made a perfect combination. 1 00% recommended!!

Stayed at the Abode for a couple of nights. First of, the location of this property is unbeatable. A stone's throw away from the Gateway of India and the Taj Palace hotel. A short walk to the artsy Kala Ghoda area and walking distance to all the sights/ Victorian architecture of South Mumbai - The Sivaji Vastu Sangrahalay(formerly Prince of Wales museum) etc. The hotel is the first and second floor of an old building that has been very tastefully decorated. There is a lovely library/reading nook which my 11 year old daughter absolutely enjoyed and spent a lot of time in. The lobby/breakfast/coffee bar is very cozy and inviting. But what absolutely stood out was the service of the wonderful people who run the place. Extremely kind and gracious, they took care of our every need. The breakfast was simply delicious with both Continental and Indian selections which were homely and done well. We stayed in the Basic Room on the first floor with the shared bathrooms. This was disclosed before we booked the Basic room, but please be aware that this is a very old building and the basic rooms have very small or no windows, which can cause a moldy smell is some rooms because of the damp Mumbai weather. The sink/shower are clean, but have old tiles etc. My daughter was enjoying reading this large Japanese Manga book there which the manager gave to her when we left the property. Such hospitality and grace. Totally made my daughter's day and the rest of her trip so happy, that she keeps talking about it to everyone she meets now about 'Abode'. Thank you to the entire team at Abode for making our Mumbai visit very memorable.

I've stayed at a bunch of places during my years on the road - but it's afe to say that Abode Bombay is in my top 3! As I work in the industry myself, I really appriciate that little attention to detail, the knowing what a traveller needs&wants, and Abode delivered (and then a bit). I really just don't have the words to describe my stay, as I was there for a week - and it's been one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. I'll mention the rooms, the decor, the food ~ all absolutely great. But without good service, all of that would do nothing. The staff at Abode though ~ are welcoming, warm and really makes sure that your stay is great! Such a little sanctuary in the city! Thank you for everything, really. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Amazing budget friendly accommodation at the centre of old Bombay. Great service and hospitality. The aesthetic is very quaint and reflects a story of it own. Highly recommend if you wish to explore South Bombay!

An amazing place to stay in Mumbai! Nileesh and the whole staff were extremely helpful and nice, location is great, breakfast is great with cozy vibe, not too many rooms so the place is kind of private, rooms are clean and beautiful, and the bed was comfy!
