Abhinay Restaurant - Fast food restaurant in Riyong Forest - Darjeeling, India

It's a way side dabha to heve food with a fair amount of luxury. It attracts the young generation with funky food with glitzy names like " Kurkure Momo" etc. They do serve traditional thalis as well. Price wise , they almost justify the price for food. Ambiance is good. Food tastes average. But, for a change this place is ok.

Perfect tagline Stop, Eat, Go Delicious Momos, Thukpa & Methi Paratha Had left from Siliguri and vaulted here for breakfast. First glimpse of mountains from the restaurant with Himalayan vibes. Amazing collection of songs and candies. Our parents loved the restaurant and it's dishes to an extent they repeated the order.

Good place to eat at highway leading Gangtok

This place offers bamboo dishes. It offers halal chicken.

Wonderful place for food and views. This restaurant is on the way from Siliguri to Gangtok. Food is tasty as well as healthy. They have a good parking place of their own. With a great view of Tista you can enjoy your food here. Prices are reasonable compared to the quality and quantity you get here.

I ordered a veg thali. I was shocked to see the contents. It hardly had anything as compared to Thalis served in any restaurant in siliguri - gangtok route. I cancelled the order and left the restaurant. Thereafter, a guy came and asked me the reason for not eating and i politely explained the reason. Soon, another person came with an aggressive attitude and tried to threaten me. He brought a bill and threw it at me asking me to pay up or else he won't let me continue with my journey. I told him that his intimidating tactics wont work with me. I asked him the reason for giving me a bill, he told me that since food was served, I'll have to pay the bill. I told him that since nothing was prepared for my order and everything was pre cooked n kept, so there's no i should pay. He continued to intimidate and threaten me for some time. Seeing that he's not succeeding in his tactics, he started to abuse me and left after some time. Then a girl came to argue with me and i again explained the same thing to me. This was my ordeal. I landed up in that restaurant since my taxi driver stopped there. I've been travelling regularly on that route for more than 25 years but never had an experience like this.

It has fantastic views of the river in front. Food was decent, service was average and parking space was good but gets crowded during peak times. Toilets are OK too.
